Good day steemians. I am happy to share to you that I have been verified by Achievement 1 & 2. Now, I am ready to accomplish my Achievement #3.

What is Etiquette?

Etiquette refers to guidelines which control the way a responsible individual should behave in the society. source

I have understood that I need an etiquette in this platform in terms of writing. But when talking about Content Etiquette , there must be a proper writing attitude of the writer depending on the reader and the rules of a company or a publication.
One etiquette a writer must have is to make her own content and cite sources if there are references from other writer.
One attitude must not be tolerated as a writer is to plagiarise.

What is Plagiarism?

Plagiarism is presenting someone else’s work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement.

The definition is very understandable. A good writer is not a thief.A good writer acknowledges work of others and learn from it.

Consequences of Plagiarism

1. A writer will never improved as a writer.
2. A writer will be accused as a thief.
3. A writer will never be credible.
4. A writer will be facing a case.
5. A writer will lose the job.

How to avoid plagiarism?

1. Read more book from other authors.
2. Learn more factual information.
3. Cite sources from the quotation.
4. Acknowledge writers from other books or articles.
5. Make your own insights or article.
6. A writer must be creative and imaginative.
