Hello my fellow steemians, how are you all doing.
This is my Achievement 3 Task, but before I start I want to use this opportunity to extend my gratitude to @cryptokannon and all the members of this community for their love and support. I say may God bless you all.

Plagiarism can be defined as an inordinate behaviour or character of copying another person's work without making reference to it or giving the original source the credit. It can also defined as failing to cite or make references in one's work or not attributing ideas contained in one's work to the original source of those ideas.

Types of Plagiarism

  • Direct Plagiarism
  • Mosaic Plagiarism
  • Accidental plagiarism
  • Self-plagiarism

Citation method and an example of citations.

Plagiarism is presenting someone's work Or idea as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement.

WHY IS PLAGIARISM COMMONLY FOUND IN WORKS AND PROJECTS.

The reason why plagiarism is common in works is that people are not willing and are lazy to craft out quality content on their own rather they prefer to copy another person's work and pretend as if it is their work even without giving or making reference to the original source of the content. Some people tend not to stress themselves and fail to cite the reference or give credit to the original owner of the post.

WHY IS PLAGIARISM ANNOYING?.

Plagiarism is very annoying, for instance, assuming you decided to spend a good quality time to craft out a good idea or quality content and pens it down. Then another person from nowhere who did not know the stress you past through before bring out that good content comes and copy the post without giving you the credit or making reference to it. You won't be happy, isn't it. Yes of course, you won't be happy.

HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM.

To avoid plagiarism, an adequate referencing or citation must be done and given to the original source. Also leaving a direct link leading to the original source is highly recommendable. Plagiarism can also be avoided when you put words in your own understanding and not to copy another person's work word to word. It's not good at all.

Finally, as steemit users we should avoid plagiarism by bringing out time to write quality content rather than copying another person's work and if need be that you must copy then you have to make reference or give citation to the original source in order to maintain your reputation and that of the steemit community.

Closing Remark:- I have gone through the necessary steemit etiquette on steemit community and I will try my best to adhere to the instructions and to abide by them.
