WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?

Plagiarism is simply the sole act of taking someone else's work. It can be said to as an act of copying someone's work, and then make it look like you're the original owner of the work. It can also be said to as knowingly and unknowingly taking credit for another person's hard work.

Simply put, plagiarism is the act of taking someone else’s work and presenting it as your own. Committing plagiarism is unethical and a breach of academic integrity.source

WHY PLAGIARISM IS COMMONLY SEEN IN WORKS OR PROJECTS

Plagiarism is commonly found in projects because people tend to do things the easier way, but want to get a good outcome from it. It is quite easy to copy someone else's work as it reduces stress, but the impact of such is that the content can never be genuine. People also want to have stress-free contents and in the long run, they do not cite, source, or give credit to the original owners of the project. This is not a good thing at all.

WHY PLAGIARISM IS ANNOYING

Let's take an example. After taking your time to write a quality content, someone from nowhere stumbles upon it, copies it, and then starts using it without citing or giving you credit. In a situation like that, how would you feel? Very bad and annoying right? It also makes the content kind of repeated and stollen.

HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM

Avoiding plagiarism is as easy as ABC. Citation should be involved when using a part of another person's work. It shows you have concern about the person and the content which he/she has created and you don't want to take any credit meant for him. Also leaving a link that directs to the original source is advisable. By this, you are avoiding plagiarism.
Plagiarism to crown it all is a crime and should not be found among steemit users so as to maintain quality content and the reputation of the community.

Remark: I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them.

To the attention of @cyptokannon and other members of this great community.

You have mostly Copied/Pasted the content with their sources but for the verification, you must need to write the post with your own mind( Words talking about plagiarism) minimum 200 words required.

Does that mean I should rewrite? I wrote my own words as well as following the task that I should do the two types of citation from the achievement 3 guidance post.

Plagiarism is not usually a crime. It can be, but is not always, illegal. It is always unethical and should not be done, but it is not always illegal.
