Achievement 4 by @jahsway. Task: Applying Markdowns
Achievement 4: Applying Markdowns.
Hello steemians,
I hope all is good. I'm glad to announce that I have successfully completed my achievement 1-3 tasks with verifications thanks to @hassanabid, @psicoparedes, @ngoenyi and @cryptokannon. Today I'll be composing my Achievement 4 task: Applying Markdowns.
There are basic and advanced markdowns that you can apply when making a post on #steemit. Some of them include;
Headlines
Headlines and sub-headlines are the main points when making a post, and so they must be clear enough for a reader.
We have two methods to create a headline
Method 1. At the beginning of your heading or title, insert #
symbol. The headline size reduces as you increase the number of #
symbol.
For example, you get
Headline 1
Headline 2
Headline 3
Headline 4
from these respective codes;
# Headline 1
## Headline 2
### Headline 3
#### Headline 4
Method 2. Applicable only for headline 1 and 2.
Instead of inserting the #
symbol, you can type your heading, then under, insert three dashes for headline 2 or three times the equal sign for headline 1 as shown below.
Headline 2
---
Headline 1
===
- centered headline
# <center>Headline here</center>
- italicized headline
#
Headline` - Strike through

Text
There are a few things you can do with text, one of which is to justify your text.
For example,
"This world would be a better place if we love one another. A person may hate you for little or no reason. For instance, someone may hate the way you talk, the way you walk, the way you laugh or even the way you look. These are frivolous reasons to hate another person. Love more, hate less."
The above is an unjustified text, while the one below is justified.
How to do it;
<div class="text-justify">
"This world would be a better place if we love one another. A person may hate you for little or no reason. For instance, someone may hate the way you talk, the way you walk, the way you laugh or even the way you look. These are frivolous reasons to hate another person. Love more, hate less."
</div>
You can align your text into two sections.
<div class="pull-right">
You can move your text to the right.
</div>
You can also move your text to the left.
Using the codes above, you get;
Tables
You can input tables to your post
Table 1 | Table 2
--------- | ----------
Column 1 | Column 2
Using the codes, you get;
Table 1 | Table 2 |
---|---|
Column 1 | Column 2 |
Quotes - Blockquotes
When you want to post a phrase, or a quote by someone, you use >
in front of the quote or phrase.
> “Home is where the heart is.”
- Elvis Presley
Using the code, you get
"Home is where the love is."
-Elvis Presley
Links
Inputting links to your post refers your readers to the post you linked, and it becomes clickable.

Thank you all for giving me your time and attention.
I stop by to inform you that I have successfully verified your achievement. You can now continue with the program and perform your achievement #5, which is called understanding the Steem tools. Here is the link to a post about it, so you can develop your next activity. Remember that the achievements' posts must be posted within the Newcomers' Community. Success for you.
Important information: congratulations for making it this far and performing your achievements. From now on, you may be eligible to be part of the support program for newcomers called 500SP Minnowsupport. I invite you to continue performing your other achievements.
Notes: You only needed to make a post and apply 5 different markdowns. There was no need to explain the markdown with a post. But you applied, so it is ok.
Thank you @psicoparedes
It was nothing 😊
