Achievement 2: BASIC SECURITY ON STEEMIT written BY @idiong1

Greetings to you my great people with great minds, I believed with Jah every thing is going well. Am excited to proceed with my next achievement as a newbies.
Stated below is the highlight of how I understand this achievement..

BASIC SECURITY ON STEEMIT

WHAT IS SECURITY
Security can be referred to as a process of being on guard or protecting of valuable things, secrets against danger or being a victim, lost or exposure to hackers.

In steemit we have different types of securities (keys) which help users or members to protect their valuables in the steemit platform and to keep them owners of the account.

The key are as follows
Private Owner key
Private Active key
Private posting key
Private memo key
Private Master key

So stay tune as I explain the use of each keys to my understanding

PRIVATE OWNER KEY
As the name implies, Private is something secret. Owner-- having authority over a particular thing. So private owner key is used in resecting Owner, Active, and Posting keys, account recovery and also used in declining the voting rights.

PRIVATE ACTIVE KEY
This particular key {active key} is used in transferring tokens, Power Steem up and down, voting for witnesses, publishing a Witness price feed, placing orders on an exchanges and to create new users.

PRIVATE POSTING KEY
To be sure that you are the one posting, posting key is necessary, so it is used in publishing a post or comment, to also edit a post or comment, Upvote or down vote, resteem content, resharing of posts and to follow other users on steemit.

PRIVATE MEMO KEY
Memo key is used in sending secure information {encrypted message} and in view secured information.

PRIVATE MASTER KEY
As the name implies (Master key), it is the overall, it is the first key given to the user to derived all other keys for their account and it control all the accounts (keys) in steemit.

HOW I SAVED MY STEEMIT KEYS

As I Sign Up on Steemit, I downloaded the PDF which containing my STEEMIT KEYS, and Google drive was used to back it up and also made a copy of it (written) and kept it safe out of strangers and hackers.

HOW TO TRANSFER STEEMIT TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT.

After signing in to wallet account, click on the profile page.....
Then here's the steps to follow....
Step 1. Login to your steem account using your username and private posting key
Step 2. Click on the image at the top right corner of the page
Step 3. You click on your STEEM wallet where it will take you to your wallet account.

Step 4. Then move to your STEEM wallet, and then click on the small arrow beside the Steem balance then select transfer(among the options listed).

Step 5. Put the name of the user you want to transfer to, then the amount you want to transfer and confirm it before clicking.

Step 6. Input the amount.

Step 7. Click next to complete the transaction

HOW TO POWER UP

In this achievement, I learnt that Liquid STEEM is transferable an can be transferred to SP (i.e STEEM power) This process is called POWER UP.
Enter your wallet then click on STEEM, then options will be listed for you, Then you click on power up,

insert the amount in the box provided,

and then Click power up

and then your Steem will convert into steem power and this process is known as POWERING UP (SP). Which gives you larger influence in steemit, and the more power you have, the more beneficial you become on steemit.

IN CONCLUSION

I understand that the more I secure my account the safer my account will become and also I save my KEYS in places I can always retrieve them, because the key is what keeps me in control of my account and my earnings.
