What is Plagiarism?

Plagiarism is when you write without giving credit to the original author. This is usually done with the intention of becoming a creator.

Types of Plagiarism

Direct Plagiarism

Direct Plagiarism is a word-for-word translation of part of another person's work, without explanation and without quotation marks. Fraud in another person's work is illegal and results in disciplinary action.

Self Plagiarism

Self-Plagiarism occurs when a student submits his or her previous work, or blinds the parts of the previous activity, without the consent of all the included teachers.

Mosaic Plagiarism

Mosaic Plagiarism occurs when a student borrows words from a source without quoting them or finding the same words in the author's vernacular language while retaining the same structure and meaning as usual.

Verbatim Plagiarism

It usually happens when someone directly copies a text or a sentence in a source without quoting it.

Accidental Plagiarism

Accidental Plagiarism occurs when someone fails to quote their sources, distorts their sources, or mistakenly summarizes the source without an adjective by using the same phrases, word combinations, and/or sentence structure.

  • Before the submission, Use a Plagiarism checker and remove the plagiarism error.

Why Should You cite Sources?

  • Informs writers of words or ideas you have just added of your work to discover your sources, allowing them to remember more about the ideas you have included in your paper.
