Hi Friends 😘,

I hope you're doing well and enjoying your life. Haron Ali is my name. @vvarishayy verified my second achievement, for which I am grateful. Now I'm working on achievement task #3, which is about plagiarism. By writing this piece, I hope to raise awareness about plagiarism.

What is plagiarism?

According to English Dictionary,
Plagiarism occurs when you claim ownership of someone else's work and act as if it were your own.
Plagiarism is a serious crime that should be avoided at all costs. Plagiarism also implies that the plagiarist is a fraud rather than an original, tarnishing the plagiarist's reputation. In other words plagiarism: is the act of stealing or duplicating someone else's work without the author's consent or knowledge.

Types of Plagiarism

(1)Verbatim plagiarism
(2)Paraphrasing plagiarism
(3)Mosaic plagiarism
(4) Self-plagiarism
(5)Complete Plagiarism

(1)Complete Plagiarism

The author will create a manuscript and present it with his or her name on it in this sort of plagiarism. Steeling is another term for intellectual theft.

(2)Direct Plagiarism

This sort of plagiarism involves someone copying the owner's work word for word and passing it off as their own. It's similar to full-fledged plagiarism. It's for scholarly purposes.
Direct plagiarism is defined as taking someone else's work and using it as your own, despite knowing full well that the work you borrowed is not yours.

(3)MOSAIC PLAGIARISM

Mosaic plagiarism happens when a student borrows words from a source without citing it, or finds synonyms for the author's language while maintaining the same broad language structure and meaning as the original.

(4)Complete plagiarism

When I take someone else's study and present it under my own name, this is referred to as plagiarism.

(5) SELF PLAGIARISM

Self plagiarism is defined as using an old definition as a new one; doing so constitutes self plagiarism, which is not acceptable.

How to Avoid plagiarism

Always make a note of where you got the information you used in your work. To explain a subject in your own words, you must read and absorb it independently.
One way students plagiarise is through forgetting.
Conduct your own study and incorporate the items we use in our daily lives.
Then imagine that if we need to use something, we must first obtain permission from the original owner.
We will gain from plagiarism if we grasp this and act on it.
If we want to avoid plagiarism, this is an excellent way to proceed.

Quote and paraphrase

You must either paraphrase or quote the original text if you want to communicate a thought or piece of information from a source in your work.

citation

The usage of citations alerts my reader to the fact that some of the words I've used aren't mine.

For example

According to the principles of gravity, whatever goes up must inevitably come down.

Conclusion

I have read and understand steemit etiquette on steemit community,I will do my best to embrace them.

Thanks for your time

Regard
