Achievement 6 Task by @graciella : Understanding Curation and Community

Greetings beautiful people. Trust you well and all is good. Today thanks to my achievement 5 task 4 getting verified, i will be presenting my final task which is achievement 6.

Q1. Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?

I understand that voting on steemit is same as liking(upvote) or disliking(downvote) someone's post while for curation it's like a reward you get for voting other people's post when your SP is high. You as the author receive half of the rewards from the post while those who voted on your post(curators) share the other half depending on their amount of SP; the more you have the more curation reward you receive. So on each post right at the end, there is a green upward botton and a red downward botton. The green is for upvoting and the red for downvoting.

Also there is what is known as Voting Manna on steemit where you can see the percentage of your voting power (upvote and downvote) which reduces by 2% when you vote a post but recharges 20% every 24hrs and also your resource credit (used to post, resteem,edit, comment). It can be accessed easily on Steemworld.org then imput your user name and thats it.

Q2. What happens if you vote a post before 5 minutes mark after posting

When a post is made, the rewards are shared. 50% goes to the author and 50% to the curator. But that's only if the voting is done after 5 minutes from when its posted. Before 5mins the 50% curator rewards are shared as follows;

Time	Effect
Moment of the post	Curator receives 0% while 100% remains in the rewards pool
1 Minute	Curator receives 20% and 80% remains in the rewards pool
2 Minutes	Curator receives 40% while 60% remains in the rewards pool
3 Minutes	Curator receives 60% while 40% remains in the rewards pool
4 Minutes	Curator receives 80% and 20% remains in the rewards pool
5 Minutes till 7days from posting time	Curator receives 100% while 0% remains in the reward pool.

Q3. Who will you vote for steem witness? and why?

Well i will vote @successgr.with over and over because he always votes and comments on posts that he is tagged on. Also @steemchiller for creating a super helpful website like steemworld.org, @roadofrich for steemscan.com and @justyy for steemyy.com which i learnt all about in my achievement 5. But since i can vote up to 30 witnesses I'll vote all because they all have their various important roles and its literally cost you nothing to vote for them.

Simply go to your wallet, click the 3 lines click on vote for witnesses enter your private active key, click the green upward voting on who you want to vote you have up to 30 max.

Q4. Which Community will you join in steemit, and why?

So far those are the communities I've joined. Newcomers community was the first and very important ; it's where achievement task are posted and verified.
Next was steem-cameroon community which is where i do most of my post, there is follow up and contest to keep it active.
Then crypto academy is important for the crypto classes and assifnments for those qualified. From there i joined other groups of interest.
