Achievement 6 Task by @Gi-de-on: Understanding Curation and Community
GREETINGS STEEMIANSI am Gideon by name it's with joy in my heart to announce to you that I have been able to complete my achievement task from #Achievement 1-Achievement 5-task4. Hence, I am been approved to carry on with the next achievement which is my achievement 6. This is the reason for me making this post.

For this achievement purpose, I will therefore try my best to explain and answer the asked questions as well as understand them.
Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?
YES
Voting on steemit is categorized into two parts/phases one of which is known as the Upvote while the other is known as Downvote. Among these two, the upvote is mostly used when the contents been created by an author on the steemit platform are seen and been attested to be authentic and plagiarism free then the upvote button is been used and the author is been rewarded for creating original content.
On the other hand, Downvote is been initiated to disapprove post that is not authentic and plagiarism-free.
Therefore, voting is simply a means by which content creators (Authors) are been rewarded for their good, authentic, and plagiarism-free contents are a way of saying a good job and work well done.
Curation on the other hand is simply a term used to describe a post that has already been up-voted. It is then said, “the post/content has been curated”. The way these, therefore, works is. When a post is been curated, the reward in the reward pool is evenly distributed to both the Author and the Curator. This is rewards are been distributed evenly to both the Author and the Curator where it is been shared at a rate of 50% to each party.
What happened if you vote for a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?
Voting a post before 5 minutes mark after posting, below is as the detail of what will happen.

It would interest you to know that the term steem witness refers to those people who create blocks that simply aid in maintaining the steemit blockchain and hence aid in supporting other communities on the steemit platform through up-votes.
If I am to choose who to vote for I will go for @justyy.
why/Reasons
The reason for me voting for @justyy is based that the steemyy.com steemit tool was simply developed by her and I have gotten to be more used to this tool for its self explanatory and very detailed form of providing information for it users.
Not leaving behind @cryptokannon for it has been through her guide I have been able to complete my achievement tasks up to this level.
Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?
On the steemit platform, there are so many active communities which are very nice to be an active member on. But there is a saying that says “jack of all trade master of none” so instead I will pick just a few and try to be an active member of them.
Steemalive
The reason I am choosing this community is simply that I love posting and having fun and will be much happier telling my fellow steemians how my day went and other activities I engaged myself in during the day. Also, the steemalive platform is for us to learn to relate with others and try to let them know we are alive and well and share in on how well spent our day was.
Campus Connect.
Being on this platform makes me feel belong for this is a platform that is simply open to all students of different categories. Hence as the name implies campus simply shows that it has to do with school, the school compound/environment and what happens there on our day at school and also get to share a diary game on how our day went.
STEEM Nigeria
I will be joining this platforms because it is my country's community since I am an indigene of Nigeria and I want to be part of my country anywhere, any day, any place at all time and to see to it that it be among the best in steemit communities.
