Achievement 4 by @gbenga01 Task: Applying Markdowns
Today, I will be completing my Achievement 4 post, which is about Applying markdown.
What is Markdown?
"Markdown is a way to style text on the web. You control the display of the document; formatting words as bold or italic, adding images, and creating lists are just a few of the things we can do with Markdown. Mostly, Markdown is just regular text with a few non-alphabetic characters thrown in, like # or ".

The usage of markdowns in our writing and post, is very important, it helps in making our work neat, easier to read and understandable and it makes it more professional in terms of presentation.
So thats why we must always make use of markdowns in our writing.
I will be going through some of the markdowns and how to use them.
Heading
To make a post heading or sub-heading, all you have to do is write the headline out and input # at the beginning/back of the headline with space between them, and you will get this

You can decide to make it any size you want by adding more # to it like this

Add Just one #
Headline 02
Add two ##
Headline 03
Add three ###
Headline 06
Add six ######
That's how to make a headline for your post.
Italics
If you also want to write words in italics, to give more expression to it, all you have to do is just add the * symbol on both sides of the word and you will get this

Bold
Another important markdown is making a text bold, if you want to make more emphasis on a word by making it bold all you have to do is just add double ** symbol on both sides to make it bold.

If you want to make a link all you have to do is add https:// before the link
For example,
https://steemit.com and it will become a link.

One more markdown I really like is making a link smaller and well presented. You know when you copy picture or post from somewhere and you want to site it, when you copy that link and paste, the code is usually long and not understandable, all you have to do to make is look good is just to is just add this before the link
[SOURCE](and put the link in bracket) without space.

Achievement 4 is not about explaining markdown codes. It involves writing a free theme and applying 5 of the codes learned.
An important observation is that you must integrate into the communities, you are only writing the achievements, you must explore other communities.
