What is plagiarism?

in my own words , plagiarism is the act of presenting another ones work as his or her own ,this is mostly common in todays world, as people view is as the easiest way to pass, but because of the way steemit is, it is either you edit, or you are muted. most of all plagiarism is fraud and does not show honesty.

Types of plagiarism

• Self-plagiarism: this is the act of duplicating a post, which means copying your own work and pasting it as another post, this type of plagiarism is not accepted in steemit,

• Mosaic plagiarism: this type of plagiarism involves, copying works from different places and pasting them to create a post, it is also called patchwork plagiarism

• Paraphrasing plagiarism: this is the act of copying a persons work, and trying to change, the words into your own, though not completely.

• Accidental plagiarism: this is the act f copying a persons work and forgetting to put the source of the work, this is normally done during citations. for example

• Verbatim plagiarism: as the name implies it is the act of copying from a persons work and totally pastiong it without even trying to eit it, it is complete copy and paste

How to avoid plagiarism

• try to write in your own words
• always cite words with sources
• always give credit to an original author
• lastly always check plagiarism before posting

In conclusion , plagiarism is not something to have a record of i, it is fraud and does not sow honesty, so let us endeavor not to plagiarize
