Achievement 2 @fonjougiresse: Basic Security on Steem

Hello fellow steemians greetings to you all. After my achievement 1 verified here is my achievement 2.

Question 1: Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

Yes I’ve retrieved all my keys from steemit after creating my account on the platform.

Question2: Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

1. Private posting key: we use this key login to our steemit account and for everyday activities such as commenting on people’s posts, updating and publishing our posts, upvoting on people’s posts, to resteem interesting content, following people, and for other activities in the account
2. Private Active key: this key has a special function in monetary aspects related to our wallet, like powering up our account from steem to steem power, powering down, converting SBD to steem, transfer of tokens, place an order on an exchange. This key is very sensitive and if anyone you don’t trust has access to it, you may lose your tokens.
3. Private Owner key: this key is more important than the other keys because from this key your private posting and active keys can be reset and changed, even the owner key itself. This key also permits you to recover your account if in case there is a problem.
4. Private Memo key: this key has restricted functions and permits you to encrypt send and view messages during transactions
5. Master Password key: This key is the most important. It is used to generate all the other keys.

Question 3: How do you plan to keep your master password?

My Keys and Master password key is stored in my memory card, phone, computer, and printed. Knowing that these devices can be bad, I saved them online in my google account.

Question 4: Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes I do, and this is how it is done.After entering on into your wallet.
Click on steem you will see transfer, transfer to savings, power up trade, and market. Click on transfer

Type the username of the person you want to send and the amount and click on next

Here is what will appear confirming what you are exactly to do, click ok after entering your public memo key

Here you insert your private active key to confirm the transaction

And that is how you will transfer steem to another account.

Question 5: Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

I click on steem and see transfer, transfer to savings, power up, and market will appear. Click on power up

Next, enter the amount of steem needed for the power up and click on power up.

Enter your private active key and click on sign in

Here is my account after power up and it gave me 34.656 steem
