ACHIEVEMENT 3: CONTENT ETIQUETTE BY @emaidoreyin•

Firstly, I am grateful for the verification my achievement 2. In achievement 3, the task "Content Etiquette" means the rules guiding writing on steemit .They are different rules guiding writing in this great organisation which I will only emphasize on the most important one called plagarism. Before I proceed, I will explain the meaning of plagarism.

DEFINITION
From the little knowledge of mine, plagiarism can be defined as the act of presenting an idea or initiative, written document, etc of another person without their consent as your own original work by imitating.

TYPES
Plagiarism are of different types but I will list and explain the five obvious types of plagarism which are;
-Direct plagiarism: This is a type of plagarism which means imitating some section of the actual creator of the document and claiming it as your original copy.
-Self plagiarism: This is an act of writing a document which has already been created by you in a project and then copy it as an original write-up in another project.
-Mosaic plagiarism: This is always difficult to detect because it is the combination of an imitated work and a created work by individual to form an original document.
-Complete plagiarism: This is the type of plagiarism which means the act of presenting an overall copy of a document written by another person as your original copy.
-Accidental plagiarism:
When a writer did not mention the source of a quotation. ie when you get a free picture from a website and did not mention where you got it from.

CAUSES
-Lack of being confident in ourself.
-Interest to gain an excellent score.
-Inability of being creative

CONSEQUENCES
-Especially in this great organisation called steemit, it destroys our career from moving further
-It brings about cancellation in a written document
-It destroys our reputation

TIPS TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
-We must try as much as we can to be creative i.e we should not depend on other peoples write up.
-We should always use the plagarism checker when we are done with our writing.

Yet one thing that I have learned over time is that when you make a mistake, recognize it, admit to it and figure out why the mistake was made. Then do everything in your power to avoid making the same mistake again.

CONCLUSION
Plagiarism is not advisable in the world and can destroy one's reputation. We should try as much as possible to produce original write up of our document through the process of creativity.
