Achievement 5 task 2 by @drumblac: Review of steemscan.com
Hello there fellow steemians!! It is @drumblac here with another post. This time around I want to discuss about the platform called steemscan.com. This platform was developed by @futureshock and @roadofrich. So I will be demonstrating to you my understanding of this platform via a set of brief points which I will use to structure this post. So a series of questions have been designed by @cryptokannon to comprehensively guide me through this platform. So lets dive right in!!

1. Please explain the current Steem price and volumes on date of submission of this review?
a) Steem Price for Friday 11 June 2021
They are three basic crytpocurrencies used on the steemit platform which are Steemdollar(SBD), Steem power(SP) and Steem. Steem is the main cryptocurrency used for transactions on the Steemit block chain.
At the top of the Home page, the price of STEEM is being displayed at the top. At the time of this post Price of steem is 0.39USD. Which means at this time the price of 1 steem is about 0.39USD. Well this prices flutuates oftenly so the price are often subjected to change.
b) Steem Volumes
Steem volumes simply means the amount of steem that is be transacted. The chats show rate of steem exchange daily, monthly and yearly.
2. Please explain What all information is shown under latest transactions and latest blocks section?
a) Latest transactions
Under this section it is possible for us to see transactions which are taking place on the steemit platform or blockchain. Under this section you can clearly see the username of the person carrying out the transaction and the type of transaction too. Some examoles of common transactions include Token Tranfers, comment, delete comments, Vote, Claim Reward, Curation Reward and many more transactions carried out daily.
All necessary information of every individuals transactions given directly below it as seen below example Block ID, Timestamp, Sender, Receiver, and kinds of Transactions transactions carried out too.
b) latest blocks
Under the latest blocks tab you can clearly see all the blocks mined by steem witnesses with transaction details shown as below which include the block ID and the amount of block transactions taking place on each block.
3. Please explain What all information is shown under Witnesses section and steps to vote a Witness?
Before I go ahead with this section I would like to define a who a witness is becuase truly I didnt know much about witnesses until I found this definition.

The Steem blockchain requires a set of people to create blocks and uses a consensus mechanism called delegated proof of stake, or DPOS. The community elects 'witnesses' to act as the network's block producers and governance body. There are 20 full-time witnesses, producing a block every 63-second round. A 21st position is shared by the backup witnesses, who are scheduled proportionally to the amount of stake-weighted community approval they have. Witnesses are compensated with Steem Power for each block they create.
A witness means a some who has the ability to make conclusions. The have power to decide if something is write or wrong It is possible to the vote for Steem witnesses directly on page by just simply clicking on the vote button at the extreme right of the screen on the name of the person you want to vote. We have alot of information provided for us about this steem witnesses like the price feed, their Registration fee, their account names and also a place to vote for the witness if you want!!
4. Please Explain What is DApps and mention 3 DApps which you have already used or may use in future as per your interest?
Dapp is actually an acronym for Decentralized Application which built onto a blockchain which also function outside of the block chain yet they control by a single entity. Alot of social media platforms however are controlled by a single entity ( maybe an organisation or person) which gives them full access over all the information on the software.
Actually Steemit and steemworld is the only Dapp I have ever used before! I recently just learned about Dapps but am curious to find out about more. I have heard of a couple of Dapps and I want to try out example Dtube(for my music) and Actifit(for my activities).
5. Please explain How to use "Quick Convert" and what is the fee charged for different Steem amount for withdrawal?
Quick convert
For Quick convert we can use exchange which is a very official and reliable exchange method on
the steem block chain. It gives alot of options as to which cryptocurrency you would want to convert too or possibility withdraw.
We options to convert from STEEM to USDT (us dollars), BTC (bitcoin) and TRX (tron).
This convertion is done in on Steemscan using the following procedure
- Set the amount of Steem you’d like to convert
- Choose a currency either USDT or BTC or TRX
- Put your withdrawal Address
- Create the order
Withdrawal charges
Withdrawal charges are fixed for different kinds of withdrawal. So the withdrawal charges are independent of the amount withdrawn

6. Please explain what information is provided by the "Search" feature?
If some one has a challenge about a certain transaction that he carried out on the block chain Or maybe he or she is searching for a particular account or block. This tooI will just be the right tool to help out. It provides us with indepth transaction detail carried out on the blockchain. So firstly you need to provide the type(Transaction, account, block) and the transaction ID to search for the particular transaction.
In case you fail to find the transaction you can go further to add extra Parameters to help locate the transaction, account or block. Below one can find some couple of extra transactions type he or she may add to locate the transaction, account or block clearly.
