After completing my Achievement task series successfully now I need to talk about curation and communities from my Achievement 6 post. From this post I will discuss about curration and community.

01)Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?

In steemit platform curation means voting power. When the users are posting articles on steemit they are given votes. The curators who gave the votes are allocated 50% of the reward and other 50% belongs to the author of the post. The curation depends on the SP. For more SP there is more curation.
By using the tool steemworld.org I can show you how the curation works. The voting power decreases when we vote someone. We also can change the percentage of curation when we vote for a post. The power regenerates by 20% in 24 hours. The voting power will be owned if the user has more than 500SP.

02)What happened if you vote a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?

As stated above 50% of the reward goes to the curator. The rest will distribute according to the SP and time. the reward amount percentatged that vary according to the time is given below.

If a post is upvoted the moment of posting, 100% of the curation reward will remain in the rewards pool.
At 1 minute, the curator receives 20%, and 80% remains in the rewards pool.
At 2 minutes, the curator receives 40%, and 60% remains in the rewards pool.
At 3 minutes, the curator receives 60%, and 40% remains in the rewards pool.
At 4 minutes, the curator receives 80%, and 20% remains in the rewards pool.
If a post is upvoted 5 minutes (or later) after posting, 100% of the curation reward goes to the curator.

03)Who will you vote for Steem Witness and Why?

With the experience that I have on steemit I know few witnesses. Among them I will select @steemchiller and @justyy because they have developed steem tools for the betterment of the steemit platform. @steemchiller developed the tool steemworld.org and @justyy developed the steemyy.com which is a very important tool for all steemit users.

04)Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?

There are many communities on this platform. I have subscribes to many communities as well. Among them I would like to mention few of them.

• Newcomers ‘community

This community provides guidelines to the new comers how to complete achievement tasks and gives the new comers all knowledge regarding the platform.

• Steemit crypto Academy

This community holds lessons to the users. The professional in the platform will hold different lesson programs and the users have the ability of participating the lessons and improving their knowledge on the platform. This is community where users can gather knowledge.

• Steemit Nursery

This community is for new comers. New comers can post articles to the interests and the first steps for the success can be gained by posting in this community.

• Srilanka -ශ්‍රී ලංකා
This is a community for srilanka people mainly. Ther are users from all around the world including srilankans. This is a community that you can share your daily life experiences and any interesting topics according to the user’s wish.

• Steem womens club

This is the only community with all female users. Women in the community can share their life experiences, beauty tips, food recipes as well. This is also a good place to grow up in the platform.

These communities conduct different competitions and contests where users can participate and win prices.
