Hello friends, it is a thing of joy that @cryptokannon has lectured me about curation and community. Haven completed my achievement 1-5, i am here to finish the achievement 6.

This achievement talks about curation and community, in which i have been sponsored by a steem greeter. The achievement is a well activity done in steemit.

Understanding Curation and Community

Curation is the act of giving out something in monetary avlue. In steemit world or technology curation means the act of upvoting somone's post or been voted on your post by other steem user to earn some amount of reward.

Community is the act by which a group of people occupied a given area. Community in steemit world means the area of steem user coming together as group to form a body of sharing update in steemit.

Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?

Voting

Voting is a fixed reward pool gotten in steemit. Like facebook where people pick interest in your post and like it, the same way in steemit people vote for you as the pick interest in your post.

The more steem power the better reward pool gotten when voted. For effective reward pool from the curator, there is a tendency that the have enough steem power.

Every steem user which have more than 500SP have limited voting rate. The more voting you click the lesser the reward pool. New user can vote 100%, but when above 500SP a slider will appear which is used to adjust the weight of voting. Voting with less than 100%% will use up less voting mana and will influence the reward pool of a post.

Voting mana is an energy bar which determine the strength of a vote. The more voting, the coming down of the voting mana bar. Voting start with 100% mana. The more voting mana the lesser the voting influence. The voting mana recharges by 20% per day.

Voting can be cast up to 10 times and not above. A 100% voting mana will use 2% of your voting mana and a 50% of cast vote will use the remaining voting mana which is 1/2. To check voting mana Login in to steemdb.io with a steem user name and check by your first right coloumn.

Curation

Curation is the act of reading a post to determine the independent of post good/bad content and then use stake-weighted mechanism to distribute reward pool.

The reward pool is distributed to voting and people who distribute it are called curator. When after 7 days of a post voted the 50% will be given to the author and 50% to the curators. But the author can change the reward pool to mechanised on 100%SP. In curation the have upvote and down vote.

Upvote is a mechanised reward pool gotten from curator. It is a mix up of steem power to vote for a post. Upvote is applied when a post is free from abuse.

Down vote is the act by which a reward pool reduces in a post and odes not earn any curation reward. When a vote contains abuse, it is down voted.

In steem the act of using a third party automatically to vote for a post is called Curation Trail. When a post is automatically voted from different curator, in one content of a post it is known as curation trail.

What happened if you vote a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?

When a curator vote before 5 minutes of a post, it will be less than 100% reward. A curator gets 50% of a reward pool but when when upvoted to the immediate of a post the 100% will remain in the reward pool. After or at 5 minutes of a post a curator have 100% curation reward pool

Witness are blockchain schedule witness to produce block. Steem Witness are people elected in steem from the community, for them to produce block and uses the delegated proof of stake known as DPOS.

It has help me to know about delegation and how i can delegate SP. It has help me to know my incoming and outgoing vote. It has made me to know about my account operation both 30 days and 7 days. It has made me to know my author reward and curation reward in steem. Truely @steemchiller is my best witness among the rest.

@justyy: This is the person who designed steemyy.com. This tools has made me to know my transfer history between me and another steem user. It has help me to automatically claim my reward rather than clicking with hand. This witness that designed this helpful tools is my best witness that i will like to vote for.

Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?

There are community in steemit that i will like to join and i have already joined. This communities in steemit has great value to me and the serve as best community to me. Here are the communities and the reason for joining this community.

Newcomer's community: This community has given me many knowledge in steem. Especially the achievement done there have given me the sense of steem tools like steemworld.org etc. It has made me to know how to use them for my day to day operation in steemit.

Promo-steem community: This community has created awareness for me, to promote steemit to others. This promotion have a very wonderful feature and one of them include talkng to every body with boldness about steemit.

SteemCryptoAcademy community: The community has given the brain behind block chains. I have also learnt some arithimetic logthirism in the aspect of calculation.

SteemAlive community: I like to write about diary and i like to read diary from othe people's story. There diary may add impact to me on how to succed in life.

SteemFood community: I like cooking and that is one of my hobbies i like doing. I also like learning new ways on how to cook.

All this communities is found in steemit.
