Hello my fellow Steemians! how are you all doing? I trust you're all doing wonderfully well today.
Today, I will be sharing with you all my achievement two (2) post which majorly focus on Security. Security of the steemit community.

WHAT IS SECURITY

What is Security?
Security to my own understanding, is the state of being protected or safe from harm, or things done to make people or places safe, Security can also be refers to as protection from hostile forces.
Security plays a very important role in our everyday life. the purpose of security is to keep us, our families and our properties safe from burglaries, theft and other crimes. Private residential security guards ensure the safety of all the residents living in the community they serve. The presence of security guards in residential communities gives comfort, security, and feeling of safety to the residents.
However, proper security measures have been developed in place for steemit so as to avoid the dangers that comes with having a weak security system and also to protect it's users from theft and crimes.

STEEMIT KEYS

Before I explain the various keys in steemit, I want you to understand the meaning of a key.
There are several definitions for key. But I will be delibrating more on the key used in steemit.
A key is a list of symbols used in a map or book with explanations of what they mean. The key is like a password that allows individual to access information.

Steem as a block chain has a set of public and private key pairs that are used for authentication as well as encryption and decryption of data.
However, there is a Master password which stands as the mother of all the keys.

The keys (my steemit keys) that was sent to me when I registered on this great plattform was in form of a PDF which I downloaded and saved in my email, diary and somewhere safe which I cannot disclose.

The various keys in steemit

i: The Posting key
ii: The Active key
iii: The Owner Key
iv: The Memo key
v: The Master key

THE POSTING KEY: This key as the name implies, is also known as the Login key it is used to login to steemit platform, it gives the user the privilege to perform social actions like: posting, voting, replying to messages, resteem and copy to blog.

THE ACTIVE KEY: This key is straight to the point just as the name implies, it is used to carry out basic actions (and activities) like powering up, powering down, transferring funds and so more.

THE OWNER KEY: The role of the owner key is so vital. Just as the name implies, it is used to recover a compromised account on steemit, This key is used to reset all your other keys.

THE MEMO KEY: The memo key is a written code used for encrypting and decrypting when transferring funds.

THE MASTER KEY:This is the key from which every other key originates, it is from this key that. It is seen as the mother of all the keys. It is also called the seed Password and it is very important as it generates the other passwords.

Seven steps on how to transfer funds on steemit

1. Log into Steemit

2. Go to Wallet

3. Click on Drop down arrow head on Steem

4.Click on transfer

5.Enter the Receiver's user name and
amount of steem to be Transferred
in the dialogue box.

6.Click on next

7.Complete the process by entering your Active key used for funds transfer.
Powering Up

HOW TO POWER UP

To power up steem as the name implies is to convert liquid steem to an investment state called steem power (SP).

i. Log into Steemit

ii. Click on Wallet

iii. Click on the drop down arrow head on steem

iv. Click on power up

v. Enter the amount of steem to be powered up in the dialogue box

vi. Click on Power up

vii. Then sign in with your active key or owner key or master password to finalize or complete transaction.

Finally, I can confidently say that I have acquired the needed knowledge of the security protocols on steemit and I am capable of fully impacting on others and people I will be bringing to steemit platform the security measures that guides the Steemit community.
