Introduction

Hello great members of this vibrant community. Accept warm greetings from @breeze.com. Today i am so excited to present to you this achievement task. This is because going through the other tasks have gradually provided me with great hints to go about this platform .However much is still to be done. This task which is one of the vital tasks in this platform will be presented based on the following questions.

Question 1

Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?

One of the main reason why most of us are in this platform is because we want to vote posts and be rewarded for it or we want our content to be voted so we will be rewarded. Therefore when i create an original content in this community and it is voted upon then the payment i get from it is known as author's reward.
In the same light those who actually vote on my post will definitely be rewarded. In fact 50% of the votes value is share to those who voted the post (This is known as Curator's reward ) and 50% to the author of the post .
But it will also strike you to know that the value of your vote depends on your Steem Power , the higher your Steem Power the the more value you bestow on each vote and vise versa.

Also, the amount of curator's reward a curator receive from a post vary with the amount of Steen Power the curator has. Thus, those with high Steem power will receive will receive the highest rewards and vise versa. Thus newbies with low SP are likely to receive very little or nothing from curating a post. However, a vote no matter how small it may be may this have influence on someone's post. Votes attracts attention to a particular post and may call for more voters.

NB: Note should be taken here that, even though voting is very vital for your growth it this platorm , it is not all the times that you will have the power to vote. There is what steemit refer to it as voting manna indicating the amount of energy you will use (spend) in a particular vote. Just like the battery of your cell phone, when it is depleted it needs to be recharged .Voting manna is recharged at the rate of 20% daily. And you can check this through 3rd party tools such as steemworl.org , steemdb.io etc

Question 2

What happened if you vote a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?

Voting may be an exciting and rewarding act. But voting a post below 5mins will lead to a partial loss of the curation reward. That which is lost is sent back to the reward pool. In reality this is what happens during voting and the time interval as presented by @cryptokannon on her post

At 1 minute, the curator receives 20%, and 80% remains in the rewards pool.
At 2 minutes, the curator receives 40%, and 60% remains in the rewards pool.
At 3 minutes, the curator receives 60%, and 40% remains in the rewards pool.
At 4 minutes, the curator receives 80%, and 20% remains in the rewards pool.
If a post is upvoted 5 minutes (or later) after posting, 100% of the curation reward goes to the curator.

Question 3

Who will you vote for Steem Witness ? and Why?

The Steem blockchain schedules witnesses to produce a new block every 3 seconds. 21 witness nodes produce 21 blocks in each 63-second round.

To be frank i am actually still studying the profiles of most of the witnesses.
And when i am done i will know exactly who to vote and the reasons for casting my votes.

Question 4

Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?

So many communities for one to join because of the unique opportunity they offer .I have subscribed to almost all the communities but i am an active member of the three main communities

1.Newcomers' Community

Reason:

Joining this is very essential for me as newbie. It is through this community where i get to know about the platform and ways to navigate it through the achievement program. Thus i am so grateful to this community for moulding me in this platform.

2.steem-cameroon

Reason

Hey! i am not only being patriotic and supportive of my own but this is the community that has taught me how to go about it in this platform and they keep sensitising me through their numerous campaigns and support programs. (Njangi)

3.steem-alive

Reason

Just like the name i have joined this community because they have more engaging activities and and more connected to the people. @steem-alive is indeed alive.

Conclusion

I am so delighted to have come to this level of the achievement program thanks to the support i get from @steem-cameroon members. I must confess that, you will not be a better steemian without following the achievement program to the latter.
