Achievement 2 - Basic security on STEEMIT by @blockseater
This is second post which is about the basic security of the steemit keys.
Keys and seeds take important role in crypto world. so all of us know the functions of keys.
- Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?
Yes, I retrieved all my keys to steemit which I get from the steemit.inc when I created the account. In the start they give us MASTER PASSWORD. so i copy and past into Notepad. After that, by using the master password I got other keys and I downloaded into PDF file. All different keys have different role such as Posting key, Active key, Owner key , Memo key , Master key.
- Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
Yes, I have read in wallet section all the functions of these keys. I totally understand the functions of these keys. let me explain more about keys.

| 1 | Posting key | Most useful key. It's used to log in to steemit account for editing posts, votes, comments, and resteem. We can also say that it is a basic key for every steemit account. |
| 2 | Active key | This key handle wallet activities like, wallet login. power-up, Token converting with SBD to STM .Transfer Steem or SBD to another account. |
| 3 | Memo Key | This key is used to decipher private message codes that are sent through the blockchain |
| 4 | Qwner key | you can change your all keys if you have owner key so its very import key. we should not lose this key. |
| 5 | Master Key | The master key is also a very important key we can call it security key. mother of all keys It can be used instead of posting and memo key. |
- How do you plan to keep your master password?
Keep care your mother this key like this, we can recover our account keys if you lost, so i download and send in to pendrive and google drive.
- Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Yes i know let me to explain. we need to go in wallet then click on liquid steem that we have in account
Then transfer where we are going to send.
Select amount and account where we are going to send steemit not ask for mem if you are sending in any other steemit account then make sure you past a write account, after all that confirm.
- Do you know how to power up your STEEM?
its simple and easy if you want to increase your Vote value so convert your steem into SteemPower. Following are some steps you should see this. go to Wallet section.
Make sure how much steem you want to powerup. and just confirm
