Hello, it's me again this time I'm about to talk in my own terms what plagiarism is. I thank the greeters for having responding speedily to my previous Achievement task.

What is plagiarism?

The Cambridge dictionary defined plagiarism as,

"the process or practice of using another person's ideas or work and pretending that it is your own"source

We actually then understand that this practice is just a sweet word to describe academic and creative theft. We have 4 of these plagiarism according to Bowdoin.

1-Self Plagiarism

This one occurs when I for example submit an old assignment or i mix parts of other old works without the permission of all the professors involved. source

2- Direct Plagiarism

Direct plagiarism is the act of copying and pasting someone's work word for word without thinking of quoting or citing the source. source

3- Accidental Plagiarism

Accidental plagiarism occurs when a person neglects to cite their sources, misquotes their sources, or unintentionally paraphrases a source by using similar words, groups of words, and/or sentence structure without attribution by citing.source

4- Mosaic Plagiarism

"This Plagiarism also called patched writing occurs when a student borrows phrases from a source without using quotation marks, or finds synonyms for the author’s language while keeping to the same general structure and meaning of the original."Source

Conclusion

Plagiarism has never been a good practice because it is theft and also has a series of punishments to it. It is normal that in a blogging platform such as Steemit, this practice is strongly abolished as users might be tempted to copy and paste just to have contents.
Thank you all for reading and God bless you all.

I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them
