Introduction

Hello everyone, i have been completely absent and inconsistent due to certain reasons however, I am back and ready to consistently engage in the amazing posts and activities on the platform. That said here is my submission for achievement 4 after completing the previous achievements. Big thank you to the curators that verified and engaged in my previous achievements and i also look forward to more engagements. i will be applying markdowns in my little article below all while pointing out the markdowns applied.
Markdowns are applied to articles to beautify and arrange the said article so as to give it an amazing aesthetic just as every building and innovations have structure, markdowns give an article its structure and backbone

Advantages	Disadvantages
- it beautifies a post	it is quite time consuming
- it allows for easier understanding of an article	it requires codes that might not be known to so many users
- it allows the author carry out their signature aesthetic	the codes are always different for each markdown and this can be very confusing for new members

Importance

• it expresses the writers aesthetics as a means to captivate the readers
• it organizes the works and serves as its structural unit
• it highlights important parts of the article so the reader understands better
• They are tools applied to properly site and give credit to original sites and pictures

In summary, i personally feel markdowns are the structural backbone just like spacings and paragraph is to a written letter so are markdowns to an article on steemit. Users are encouraged to actively employ the use of markdowns so as to get conversant with them.
