I am very happy to proceed to write my achievement 3 post which basically teaches about:
The need for proof of brain concept, and the sharing of original content.

PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism is an act of illegal using or taking someone’s work, craft or content and present it as though it was yours without acknowledging or giving credit to the originator of the content, the content can be a text, video, audio or image. Plagiarism is fraud and is not accepted on steemit.

TYPES OF PLAGIASRISM
Plagiarism as an act can take place in many forms or types. I will be giving my explanations on some of these forms of Plagiarism below.

SELF PLAGIARISM.
This type of plagiarism occurs when an individual presents his own work on content which he or she has already presented earlier without given permission to do so. This type of plagiarism is very common about students.

MOSAIC PLAGIARISM
This type of plagiarism happens when an individual uses an idea from source to make his own content out of it without properly acknowledging his sources of ideas or without citing his sources.

DIRECT PLAGIARISM.
This is a very common type, this happens when someone writes something from a someone’s work word for word without putting it in quotation marks. This is a very hated and unethical practice.

EFFECTS OF PLAGIARISM.
Plagiarism is illegal and can be considered as fraud. Plagiarism comes with serious consequences. it should always therefore be avoided. Below are some effects of plagiarism.

• Low or no reward for work done.
• No appreciation on your efforts.
• Reduced reputation
• Suspension.

CITATION
This is the act of making people aware that certain ideas or contents are not completely yours but rather someone else’s ideas. This simply acknowledging or giving credit to the originator of an idea you used in your work.

TYPES OF CITATIONS YOU CAN USE

1. Modern Language Association
2. Chicago style
3. American Psychological Association.

SUMMARY.
Steemit blockchain is a platform that strictly awards proof of brain. Steemit only accepts original or quality content that is free of copyright abuse. Plagiarism is not accepted on steemit and it is a crime there people should always endeavor to disassociate themselves from such practice. I recommend that after creating a post we check for plagiarism before we proceed to post to prevent the tag of being a plagiarist.
