Hope you are well in this pandemic situation Recently I completed my Achievement 1 Task and #hassanabid told me to complete achievement 2 task which is Basic Security on Steem
So in this post, I will briefly discuss these keys functions that will help you to secure your steemit profile password of your social media profile gives extraordinary relief in securing your accounts. So, It's better to retrieve all your keys

On steemit we have 5 keys that help us to use steemit in different ways Here are the function of these keys

• Posting Key:

By using the posting key user can easily publish a post or comment its also use to delete the post or comments and helps us to mute other users on steemit So if you are using steemit for posting use this key instead of others.

• Active Key:

The active key allows us to change account settings (such as your profile picture) its also use to place an order on steem market or for transferring and withdraw Steem/SBD It also helps us in powering up or powering down Steem.

• Owner Key:

With the help of owner key, we can practically do everything with the account, This key allows us to change the other keys, also this key helps us to get back on steemit if your account is compromised by some hackers

• Memo Key:

Its main use is to encrypt and decrypt memos when making funds transfers via blockchain and encrypt a private memo, use the numeral (#) before placing it.

• Master Key:

With the Master key, you pretty much gain full control of your account. means you can change all the above key with the help of Master Key this key help us to generate PDF file of all keys So, its important to keep this key in save hands.

How I Plan To Keep My Master Key?

I already know the importance of the master key So, I made a PDF of all my steemit keys and share them via email to my brother Gmail or my secondary Gmail account also I upload the PDF on Google Cloud.

How to Transfer Steem To Another Account?

With these easy step, you can transfer your steem to other users on steemit

Step 1:

Go to your steemit wallet login with your active key

Step 2:

After login, you see all your available steem simply click on steem a dropdown will appear click on transfer.

Step 3:

Here you see a dialog box simply enter the username of another account where you want to transfer enter how much steem you want to transfer and then click on next

By this, you guys can easily transfer your steem to other users on steemit.

How To Power Up Your Steem?

It's okay if you don't know how to power up your steem I will tell you in easy steps

Step 1:

Simply follow the above 1st and 2nd step but this time from the dropdown menu click on Power Up option as you can see in this image

Step 2:

Here you see a dialog box where they give a simple defination of what is Power Up? simply enter how much steem to power up and then click on power up button.
