Here is my Achievement 6 task being made upon verification of my achievement 5 task.
Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?
Yes i do. I will elaborate on these below.
Vote:
On the steemit blockchain, expression are been exhibited by means of upvotes and downvotes. On other social platforms, this actions are commonly called likes and dislikes respectively. These votes determine the amount from the reward pool, that would be allocated to the said post which was voted on, with the amount varying with users, depending on their influence on the blockchain. Tgis influence is determined by the amount of Steem being held as Steem Power (SP)An upvote indicates added reward influence, and a downvote does the exact opposite. An upvote has 5 times more impact than a downvote.
I'll further explain how these vote buttons look like on a given post, with the help of the screenshot below.
The green button represents an upvote and the red represents a downvote. When a post is initially created, the reward amount is set at $0.00 (default). An upvote will increase this reward amount depending on the voter's influence on the platform. Similarly, a downvote will drop the amount towards the initial $0.00 default balance.
To regulate the use of actions on the steemit blockchain, so as not to experience an infinite degree of actions which could override the system, there is a gear which fills up with time and runs down as votes are cast. This gear or bar is called the Voting Manna, as shown below. The first bar is the upvote manna, and the second bar just beneath the first bar is the downvote manna.

Each vote type (upvote and downvote) has a voting manna which decreases by 2% every time a vote is cast, and its influence drops (lesser reward) as the manna becomes less filled. It takes 24hours for 20% of this said voting manna to refill.
Curation:
The act of casting a vote (upvote or downvote) as a gesture of like and dislike, is known as Curation. Hence, a steemit user who carries out a curation act is known as a Curator. The total reward amount it shared equally between the author and curator of a post, on a 50%-50% basis.
Comments can be curated by a steemit user and rewards attained as well.
It is worth noting that a curator won't get any reward % from casting a downvote.
What happened if you vote a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?
Any curation that is being cast on a post before 5 minutes elapses from time of creation, will experience a lesser value on reward amount than expected (<50% curation reward to curator, from the said post).
This % decrease varies with time within this 5 minute time frame.
Below is a table illustrating this process.

It is worth stating that every user on the steemit blockchain is entitled to vote a maximum of 30 witnesses within any given time.
I have a hand full of witnesses i would actually handpick and vote on. I will tabularize the list below, with reasons why.
