Markdown is a set of scripts that helps you organize and format your posts. You can format words, add photographs, videos, and recordings, and do a lot more using markdown. It's a web-based text style approach.
Now, let's have a look at how to use markdown on steemit.com.

Aligning text:

We can align the texts in our posts as shown below:

Left align:

The most important component of writing a post is the headlines and sub-headings. In markdown, there are two ways to make a headline; let's look at one of them.

Aligning images.

Left alignment :

When an image is oriented to the left, the text quickly after it follows suit and moves to the right.

Left alignment code:

<div class="pull-left"> *press enter twice if need be* paste your image *press enter twice if need be* </div>

Right alignment :

The text is automatically adjusted to the left and the image is now orientated to the right.

Right alignment code:

<div class="pull-right"> *press enter* paste your image *press enter* </div>
