It's been around 2 months I have been here on Steemit. Referred by a friend i found this platform and ever since i am seeing plenty of posts getting upvoted and people getting handsome payouts for those posts.

Steemit took sometime and i got to know how the communities work. By starting my journey From @SteemitPakistan referred to @NewCommersCommunity by @vvarishayy when i posted an entry into a contest without my achievement 1 post. Here i found many of the @cryptokannon posts to be as greatest assets to the newcommers to understand working of Steemit.

Exactly after seven days, i got my achievement 1 verified title from @haidermehdi

So, now onwards i will climb this ladder and complete all of these achievements one after the other. I need a little support from everyone out there.

Achievement 2 Questions

Question 1
Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

I retrieved all of my keys the very moment i get registered to Steemit. Those keys were in the form of a PDF file and i have kept one copy of that .pdf in my Google drive, so that they're accessible anywhere remotely.

Question2
Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

There are total 3 portions in the keys file. The first one is of TRON keys. Second is Steemit private keys and third is for the Steemit public keys. Apart from these three sections this document also include Master password, which also can generate that keys file.
Along with these keys there are also QR codes that if scanned on a mobile device would convert that code to a textual key.
So the explanation of the keys is as under:

PRIVATE POSTING KEY 🔒

Private posting key is used in steemit to login to your steemit account and perform daily Steemit operations like posting stuff, commenting and voting on others' posts.

PRIVATE MEMO KEY 🔒

Private memo key has a function said in the document used to decrypt private transfer memos. So this key is meant to encrypt or decrypt messages send, but this feature is not yet built in Steemit so far. But anyhow this is really a bad practice to share any of your personal information on any social media platform.

PRIVATE ACTIVE KEY 🔒

The active key has all the features of an Owner key(Apart from changing the owner key itself). It's functions include but are not limited to:

• Sending steem or SBD
• Recieving Steem or SBD
• Changing profile picture, wallpaper, info and website information

PRIVATE OWNER KEY 🔒

This key is used when there is some threatening activity happening on a user's account, and user want to reset the account setting and get the access of the financial services and take them under control. All this can be done on https://steemitwallet.com. also this process of recovery take around 30 days, so it's better to keep these files safe at the first place.

Master password has the ability to do anything and everything to a steemit account. A steemit Keys file can be generated using this password, once this password is compromised there is no security for an account left.

Question 3
How do you plan to keep your master password?

I planned to keep my Master password safe, i kept this safety by getting a printout of the password page and kept in inside my cupboard where i keep my valuables. Also, the very day i downloaded my Keys file i kept a copy inside my Google drive.

Question 4
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

This process is done by clicking on Wallet

Then logging in to the account using Steem username and Private Active key as a password.
Next step is to click on the Transfer option

and a new Window will popup infront of the Screen

Here in this form, add the name of the Beneficiary(to whom you want to send SBD or steem) amount that you will send and Memo.

Question 5
Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

To power up your Steem follow the same steps

• Go to steemwallet
• Login to wallet
• Click of Powerup in the dropdown

This form will appear enter the amount that you wish to convert to steempower and you are good to go.
