Today, I'm going to provide my thoughts on Steem's Basic Security.

Question1

Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

Yes, I have recovered all of my steemit keys. I did it as soon as I signed up for the platform. I've stored it in a safe place where it'll be easy to find.

Question 2

Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

1. ACTIVE KEY
   The Active key is used to power up and power down. You can also use the Active key to get into your wallet account and make transactions.

2. OWNER KEY
   Because this key is used to reset all of your other keys, it is an important key. Only use the owner key when necessary.

3. THE MEMO KEY
   This key is used to encrypt and decrypt memos when transferring funds. Private messages sent over the STEEMIT blockchain are also encrypted and decrypted using the Memo key.

4. POSTIN KEY
   The Posting Key is used to access apps like Steemit.com and participate in social activities such as posting, commenting, voting and resteeming etc.

Question 3

How do you plan to keep your master password?

I printed it out and saved it to my document folder. On my Pendrive, I also have offline backups. I've taken all necessary precautions to prevent it from being misplaced.

Question 4

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes, as shown in the image below, I am aware of how to transfer my steem to another steem account.

Steps

• Select wallet from your Steemit account's profile page.
• Click on Steem
• Select transfer
• To complete the procedure, fill in the blanks with the necessary information and click next.

Question 5

Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

Steps

• Select wallet from your Steemit account's profile page.
• Click on Steem
• Select Power up
• To complete the process, type the amount you wish to purchase and then choose power up.
