in Newcomers' Community3 years ago

OBJECTIVE OF TODAY'S TASK
A. Understanding proof of brain concept
B. Production and sharing of original content
C. Embracing the existing steem community
etiquette

(A) UNDERSTANDING PROOF OF BRIAN CONCEPT
Knowing that steem is an open platform where users are allowed to post anything thing of their choice eg picture, video etc and earn from it provided their works are original content by them.
The proof of brain concept here is that you earn from STEEMIT using your brain to create original content of your own and choice.

(B) PRODUCTION AND SHARING OF ORIGINAL CONTENT
One is meant to create a content by his or herself. Although when one is creating a content he or she may gather information from other sources which is meant to be citated because the work contains another person's work,if not done so it will be declared as an offense because it is not part of STEEMIT rule and regulations. Not doing so is called plagiarism

PLAGIARISM
It is been derived from a latin work which literally means kidnapper. Denoted to be one stealing someone's work.
It can be said to be representation of another author's language, thought, idea or expression as one's own original work.
Legally in some cases it is not regarded as crime while in some cases it is regarded as fraud because one uses another person's work to gain academic credit.
Academically it is regarded as academic dishonesty whether it is done by teachers, student or whoever under academic body.
Their are different types of plagiarism which are self plagiarism, accidental plagiarism, direct plagiarism and mosaic plagiarism.

HOW TO CITE
Not only saying according to you have to put the link or reference link if it is a paraphrase like i did above. Using example below for first part on how to cite:
According to YALE it views plagiarism as the "use of another's work ,word or idea without attribution".
The above example was copied and pasted from its source that's why I put in under a quotation marks:

the use of other's work, work or idea without attribution.source

(C) STEEM COMMUNITY ETIQUETTE
These are guidelines every user on the platform must adhere to in order to keep the terms and conditions of the platform.

"I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them"
