Achievement 2: Basic Security in Steemit

Greetings to all steemians.Joining this platform is one of the best decision I made because I have been into a lot of ponzi scheme which ended up taking my money but steemit is the deal.I was able to complete my achievement 1 task without stress with the help of @bossj23 and I got verified,I was very happy thou.
I am currently working on my achievement 2 task and hopefully get verified so as to continue enjoying steemit.

Yes I did on the day I got registered.i was told loosing these Key is like loosing my account on steemit and I can’t afford that.i downloaded the pdf file immediately and saved it to my iCloud,I also saved it on my gmail as draft and also took screenshots and sent it to my mum just incase anything goes wrong with my iCloud.

Yes I do.Luckily for me,the functions were listed in the pdf and I got to understand each and also my mentor explained more on it.

• Private posting keys: This is the key we use to log in to our steemit account.I feel once this key is gone your account is because you won’t be able to log in into the platform nor be able to perform tasks,comment ,votes and the likes.

• Private active key: This key is used in the case of our wallet I.e transferring steems,powering up or down,making transactions.

• private memo key: when we want to transfer steem,there’s a blank space where we are asked to input our memo keys,it is used to make private transfers.

• private owner key: This is used to get back all other keys if lost within 30 days at a site that steemit has provided.

• Master keys: This key used to generate the document in which all our steemit key is kept.

My master keys is already saved to my iCloud for security.

Yes I do.The following steps explains it.

• I will firstly have to log in to my steemit account with my private posting keys but I don’t usually do this because I saved my password on the site so I just log in immediately without keys.

• After loggin in,I will go to my wallet,where I will find my balance steem,steem power and the likes.i will then click on the down arrow beside my steem balance and I will be given options but since I want to transfer,I will choose transfer.

• i will then be taken to a page where I have to input the username and the amount of steems I want to transfer ,then click “next.”

• last but not the least,I will be taken to the next page where I have to confirm my transfer and input my eyes then click on “ok”and the transfer is done.

Powering up is almost similar to making transfer but with slight differences.

• I will need to log in to my steemit account,then go to my wallet

• in my wallet,I will move down to where steem and and click on the down arrow,options will be out but I will be choosing power up since I want to power up.

• After choosing power up,I need to input the amount of steem I want to power up,no need of username or private posting keys.

• I then need to confirm the power up by clicking “ok”.power up successfully made.

After powering up,the image below shows my balance indicating that I have successfully powered up 1.00 steem

In conclusionI’m excited about this whole platform and hopping to get verified very soon and to be able to move on to complete more tasks.
