Achievement 4: @aderynTask : Applying Markdowns. Memory.steemCreated with Sketch.

The achievement missions at Steemit really help us understand Steemit. I did not write about achievements separately in my previous posts. So I talked about plagiarism, keeping keys and security in my previous articles. But in this post I'll talk about a different topic. I want to talk about our memory and memories. In this article, I will tell you about my own experiences. It's actually really fun to talk about it. Because our brains are like a closed box that never opens. And it's really surprising and fun to solve this with your own experience.

First of all, what is memory?

We all experience something every day and every minute. And naturally we learn something. Our memory, on the other hand, records what we have experienced and learned in our minds in connection with the past. Our mind does this consciously. It's really important to connect with time in this regard. We all know that we forget most of what we go through except important events.

Unfortunately, this is a difficult fact to accept that we sometimes forget the important events we have experienced. Or we can forget about important things we learned. For this, we need to learn thoroughly how our brain works and what it works with. Most importantly, what is missing. So we must learn which vitamins are missing in our blood. But even if we don't have a vitamin deficiency, we can forget what we experienced years ago.

Our memory is really weird. For example, when learning a foreign language, we become aware of our memory. We can forget a word we learned after about half an hour. But if we repeat the word we learned after half an hour, we are less likely to forget it.

Another reason I think our memory is strange is the difference between living and learning. If we do not repeat a word we learned in a foreign language within half an hour, we are likely to forget it. But when we go to the beach and chat with a friend, we don't forget this after half an hour. So there is no need to repeat. We probably won't forget this even after months. But if we go to the beach every day and start chatting with our same friend, after a while, we may confuse what we talked and what we did. If we talked about coffee and met the same person many times, we probably forget which day we were talking about coffee. Or we may be confused.

My high school English teacher always said, "If you want to learn a language, you have to be exposed to that language." So to be able to memorize the words, you need to see those words all the time. How did we learn our mother tongue? Everyone around us speaks this language, and we are naturally exposed to it. I would like to quote a paragraph in the post about memory on hopkinsmedicine.com website:

"Those synapses get stronger or weaker depending on how often we're exposed to an event. The more we're exposed to an activity (like a golfer practicing a swing thousands of times) the stronger the connections. The less exposure, however, the weaker the connection, which is why it's so hard to remember things like people's names after the first introduction. " Source.

Episode suggestion from a TV show:

We all know the Black Mirror series. I guess there is nobody who knows, especially after the 5-hour Bandersnatch episode. "The entire history of you" episode is one of the episodes of the Black Mirror series.

In this part of the series we will try to notice something about memory. It will be if you think really hard. If you think well, you will anticipate that events will happen as the minutes progress in this part of the series.

"The entire history of you" events mostly take place around a married couple. Liam is the person you see on the movie's posters. Liam's wife Ffion. Liam is a lawyer candidate. This episode of the series begins with Liam's job interview at a company. Liam buys a plane ticket after his job interview and goes to the party his wife attended. Meanwhile, Liam watches a job interview with a chip in his brain called Grain.

The chip called Grain is placed near the left ear of people. Thanks to Grain, people can retrace all the events they have experienced. In fact, they do not only watch from their own eyes, if there is something like television around, they can transfer it there and watch from there. At a party attended by Ffion, there is a woman living without a chip. Someone surgically removed the chip from him.

My main goal is not to tell the summary of the movie. My main goal is what people can do with a chip. If such a technology becomes possible in the future, would people want to use it? It is too early to answer such a question. But we know that the result of such technology will be different for people. And probably there will be no such thing as crime. Of course, crime disappears if all people use it. Because all the images are saved and categorized. And that's bad, so there's no such thing as a secret life anymore.

I said that the result of such a technology differs from person to person. Mindful people can then watch and analyze what is happening around them. And as a result, they can realize something. For example, the character in the series Liam is very careful and thus reveals an incident that happened a year and a half ago. I think it would be an advantage of this technology to be able to immediately find and watch the event that happened one and a half years ago. While we usually forget what we lived two or three months ago, it would be a tremendous thing to go back years ago with this technology.

I want to end my article with the sunset.
