What is Plagiarism?

Plagiarism is to show someone else's thoughts, statements, researches and discoveries as their own, without citing any source. It is an act that is considered criminal and ethically wrong in the academic world, in the business world. The consequences of this action can have personal, professional, ethical and legal consequences. Plagiarism has consequences such as damage to reputation and credibility, and it can lead the person to arrest due to copyrights.
Plagiarists do not do this in almost every field. In publications, artistic works, literary works, photographs, etc. Plagiarism is made in many areas.

While plagiarism is possible in so many areas, it is impossible to expect it not to be done in "steemit". But the "steemit team" has been carefully investigating this situation, and even some groups that make it a task have been established. In this way, nobody can easily plagiarize anyone's post or share in the "steemit" environment. And this is a very good situation. In this way, we can say that the security of our shares is provided even if it is a bit.

However, of course, we should be careful not to plagiarize. If we are citing a photograph or an article, we should definitely mention the source from which we are citing. We can do these within the framework of some rules. We should never omit important elements such as showing a source and specifying a license in our posts. And we should definitely avoid plagiarism. If we are sharing a photo like the one at the beginning of my post, we should definitely show its source and license, if any. If we are using someone else's article or the words of a famous person, we should definitely state this by a method as I will show below or by various methods in "steemit".

It is harder to destroy prejudices than to smash the atom.

As for etiquette. I read the Steemit etiquette. I will follow these rules that explain what we should and shouldn't do in plain language. In short, to express my opinion on etiquette, as @cryptokannon said. I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them. And while doing this, I will really love to apply it.
Thank you for reading my article.
