Achievement 4 by @abudooji Task : Applying Markdown
Hello there, am back again with another post today which is about Applying Markdowns. Am really excited to write this post, there are a whole lot of markdowns one can use on steemit. Some of these markdowns are basic whilst others are advanced. Per my task today I'm to demonstrate my knowledge in using markdowns on steemit.

What is Markdown?
Markdown is a way to style text on the web. You control the display of the document; formatting words as bold or italic, adding images, and creating lists are just a few of the things we can do with Markdown. Mostly, Markdown is just regular text with a few non-alphabetic characters thrown in, like # or *. source
EMPHASIS
This is one of the most common markdowns we do see in others' posts. I asked a whole lot of questions when I saw it but after going through the Markdown Styling Guide, I had a better understanding of how to use them and have since been applying them in my posts.
Bold Text
One may ask, how did you bold the text?
To bolden your text you just need to start that text with either (**) or (__) and end it with the same symbol, without spacing the symbols from the text. An illustration is shown below.

Italic Text
Most posts on this blockchain utilize italic text. Let's get down to it guys.
To create italic text on here you have to start your text with either (*) or (_) and end it with the same symbol, without spacing the symbols from the text as shown below.

You can also combine the two of them to get something like this: You can combine them, it makes the text both bold and italic. Below is the code to achieving this.

HEADERS
Markdowns can also be used to achieve headers. With headers, one can have nicely formatted text with a heading. An example of a header is shown above. It ranges from 1 # symbol(tier 1) to 6 # symbols(tier 6), the more the # symbol the smaller your header becomes. Below is how to achieve a header.

Markdowns can be used to create clickable links in a post. Below are some of the ways they can be done:
One can make a link clickable by just pasting the full address like below
https://www.wikipedia.org/Also, a link can be hidden in a word or phrase. Below is an example, the link https://www.wikipedia.org/ is hidden in the word source. Source

- Usernames are links to a person's profile on steemit, so it's essential to know how to go about it.

Not forgetting that new codes pop up in some members' posts and if you ever wonder about the code someone used, just copy the link to the whole post and change the "it" in the spelling of stemit in the URL to "d". Below is an example of the above explanation.
