Achievement2: Basic security in Steemit by @a-kallis

Now I will proceed with my Achievement post 2 after been verified for achievement post 1

Question 1: Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

I have retrieved all my keys and the PDF file containing my keys has been downloaded and kept safe on my drive. Also I have written them down off line for better security.

Question2: Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

• Posting key: To access all social features of steemit, you will need to log in to your account on the Steemit home page, and to do this, you'll need to input your username and your posting key. With that, you can enjoy other features like: posting, silence users, vote on posts, resteem favorite posts, comment, follow and unfollow, edit post, and also to check your wallet.

• Active key: This key is used to authorize transactions on the wallet page e.g to send out SBD and Steem, to Power Up or power Down steem, to swap SBD to steem and vise versa from the market.

• Memo key: This key is purposely used to send and receive encrypted messages.

• Owner key: This key is used to restore all other keys provided for your account on the steemit blockchain. The master key must be well protected because it is the most important key.

Question 3: How do you plan to keep your master password?

The master password is very important and there are different popular issues of hacking online, therefore, I have stored it as a file offline on my hard drive and it has also been written down offline to guarantee that it is saved.

Question 4: Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes. I know how to transfer steem to other steemit users, and I would be explaining that in the screenshot below

To start this process, you'll log into your steemit wallet with your active keys

Step 1: Click on the arrow beside your steem balance
Step 2: Click on "transfer" from the dropped down options, and wait for it to bring the next slide

Step 3: Click on "TO" and write the recipient steemit account without "@"
Step 4: Input the amount of steem you want to send
Step 5: Write your memo, click on next and wait for the next slide

Step 6: This is the confirmation page, and all you need to do is to press Ok if you've confirmed that everything you've written are correct.

Question 5: Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

I know how to power up my steem and it is quite simple
I will be explaining how to do that in the bellow screenshots

To start this process, log into your steemit wallet with your active keys, and ensure you have steem balance to power up.

Step 1: Click on the arrow beside your steem balance
Step 2: Click on "power up" from the dropped down options and wait for it to bring the next slide

Step 3: Input the amount you would like to power up
Step 4: Click on "Power up".

It is essential to know how each key works and to know how best to safe this keys to avoid our account been compromised.
