Hello fellow steemian it a pleasure for me to partake in this week's contest "The scariest moment in my life", much thanks to @slon21veka for organizing such a wonderful contest.
The scariest moment in my life happened on the 5th September 2018, when i was travelling from Atebu to Yeji in the Bono East Region of Ghana, by bus with a written signboard "If You Do Good" and the driver who is popular among all drivers in that station, popularly known as "Way In Town".
He is a very good driver that almost all the people want to travel by his car, he is kind, respectful, patience and calm. We took off arround 5:30pm, we covered a short distance and we had a flat tyre so we all need to come out from the to call a mechanic to fix it for us.
The driver called the mechanic, he came and fixed it, which we started the journey we got to place where the driver realized that its getting late so he decided to stop by the police barrier so we could get police escort, where some of the passengers were angry insulting the driver that they want fast to reach their destinations due to how humble the driver was he obeyed the passengers so we couldn't wait anymore to get the police escort, we proceeded to a certain point where a fellow passenger asked the driver to stop for him to free himself but that point is dangerous so the driver decided not to stop, all of a sudden the passengers started shouting at the driver so he stopped.
Immediately he stopped the car arm rubbers arrived and they started shooting and made us laid down on the floor, took all our money and phones. Infact i was so confused that i don't even know what is happening, i gave out all my belongings unaware, i was close to the driver when i heard a gun shoot i shouted and i went off, before i gain conscious i was in the hospital asking how i got there, they narrated i went off when i heard the gun shoot thinking i was shoot but it was the driver, may his soul rest in peace.
