CONTEST//TOPIC OF THE WEEK// How Far Do You Live from Where You Were Born?

Good day everyone here at Steem-BRU! Praying for healing of our mother nature.
Today I am here to share the place where I was born . Madridejos Cebu, Philippines.

This place where I was born is about 145 kilometers away from where I live at present, Lapulapu City Philippines which also an island but near the urban cities of Cebu.
It will take 3 to 4 hours by land to travel and a 30 to 45 minutes travel by sea.
My hometown is in an island. Bantayan island in the northern part of Cebu province. This island is composed of 3 towns.
The first town we reached , the seaport is Sta.Fe where beach resorts are found.

People even from foreign countries love the beaches in Sta. Fe , Cebu , Philippines. During long weekend holidays we spend our family bondings by the beach.

The next town is the Bantayan proper, where the center of economy is located. This where people buy and sell goods in the market. Most goods found in the market were fresh fish and seafoods such as shells and sea cucumbers.
Then after 15 to 20 minutes by motorcycle we will reach the place where I was born ,Madridejos,Cebu.
It has a native name "Lawis" meaning northern tip .

From those small nipa houses or bahay kubo, the typhoon Yolanda or the super typhoon Haiyan which hit our town changed this houses into better ones, even those who have no homes got one.
I will always go back to the place where I was born. On that old wooden house where I can see starlights even in the morning and inside rainshowers when rain fell.
Oh I always miss the place.
