Topic of the Week - My Winter Plans... And my long delayed return...

How have you been? It is awesome to come back and see that the Topic of the Week contest still holds regularly.
Yes, I have been away. It has been more than two months now, since I had to stop writing and focus on something else (I will hit you shortly)...
And that something else plays a big big part in my entry today, even though we do not have winter as a weather where I come from. We have harmattan or dry season instead.
So my topic I guess would be...
My Harmattan Season Plans...
But before I delve into that... I guess the first question is what did I do when I was away from Steemit?
Well, well, I got married!
Yes, I actually got married...
So in a few words and photos, I will tell the story of how I transitioned from being a single man, to a married one, in the short time I was away...
I hope you enjoy it...
In truth, this journey started roughly about 8 years ago, when as young university students, my wife and I had first met. Hmmm... It actually still feels strange, using the word "wife". Funny enough, when I refer to her in the third person, I still catch myself using terms like "girlfriend", "babe", etcetera...
But then all things do take some getting used to anyway, and I guess adjusting to being married is no different. But then enough of all the boring details...
Time to let the photos tell more of the story...
So we went to the court first...
And here, we took our vows...
And though we were declared legally married...
We still needed the traditional rites to be done...
So we got ready...
And I summoned my groomsmen...
They joined me as we paid homage as is required...
Then my lady beloved was brought to me...
And we were joined together...
Then we kissed, and danced...
And we made merry...
Anyways, like they say around here, this dude is finally off the market.
And what would I be doing for the Harmattan Season (Winter)?
Well, simple. we actually delayed our honeymoon plans due to work. But this coming Christmas period, we will be going on a brief getaway. We are going to Ibadan, it is an ancient city close to where we stay (about two hours away by road), but it is the first time in a while I have planned a vacation, and I am looking forward to it so much.
