Graffiti Of My City No. 36 - Some Churches

Welcome everyone to No. 36 of this contest, Graffiti Of My City, hosted by @slon21veka. Find out more about this here.

Still featuring the paintings by schoolchildren along the front wall of the Kapitan Tomas Monteverde Elementary School, along Ponciano Reyes Street, Davao City, Philippines. This is the sixth installment of this wall which depicts ordinary aspects of life in the city and the province as seen through the eyes of 12 years old kids.

Religion is another aspect in the lives of the people in my country. We are predominantly a Catholic nation but we also have a healthy number of Muslim countrymen who are Islam. There are also different Christian denominations more notably Baptists and Fundamentalists. But regardless of religion, there is great respect for each other's faith and people are free to exercise their own beliefs and practices.

The following photos are the children's depiction of some churches in the country.

A Catholic Church

At the background of the church is the tallest mountain in the Philippines, Mt. Apo. It is a dormant volcano known to have last erupted in the 16th century.

And that's all there is about churches. Stay tuned for a little bit more of this very interesting wall. Thanks for visiting.
