Greetings fellow steemians I am@fuhevelinefusi, good morning to the Steem-BRU (BY-RU-UA) and welcome to the contest No 53 organized by @slon21veka which topic Is The Earth Round Or Flat? And last week it was on what do you associate January with?

This question has been asked because of what many people think. How Do We Know the Earth Is Round or flat?

When you are able to get up, above the horizon, whether in a plane or in the International Space Station, you can see that the edge of Earth is rounded. By watching as the Earth also rotates from that view, you can see that the Earth is a rotating sphere and is not flat. Image by NASA.

There are a number of reasons why scientists know that the Earth is round, and not flat. It turns out that we can test many of these reasons out for ourselves, too.

In secondary or even in primary school, I New the earth was round like an egg. This is the more reason when standing on the ground, we can’t see that far. We can’t look out into the distance and see a town that’s miles away. And a ship will slowly start to disappear from view as it gets farther away. This is because the Earth is round. Things in the distance are not visible because there is a curve to the landscape

When two identical objects stand in two different places on earth, we will notice that the length of their shadows differs, because the earth is round.

Personally I believe that the earth is round but flat like pancake. Other People may have their beliefs let us hear what they want to say.
