✅ How many seasons in your country? Which one is your favorite and why?

Seasons bring a new vibe to nature. Seasons bring changes in nature, weather, temperature and human life. This natural change in nature through seasons introduces us to the immense beauty of nature. My country Bangladesh is called 'the country of six seasons'. Our 6 seasons are - Grismo (Summer), Barsha (Monsoon), Sharat (Autumn), Hemanto (Late Autumn), Shhit (Winter) and Bashonto (Spring). Each of these 6 seasons has its own beauty.

Among all these seasons my favorite is Shhit (Winter). It is one of the most enjoyable seasons in our country. Winter covers nature in a blanket of cold. It brings a serene serenity to nature. Moreover, winter gives us an opportunity to enjoy many tempting cakes and sweets of our country.

✅ If there was one season you wanted to skip forever, which one would it be? Explain the reason.

I love all the seasons in our country. But among them, I less like the season is the Barsha (Monsoon). During this season, heavy rains and rains occur all the time.

It gives a soothing atmosphere in nature. But in addition to this, heavy rains during monsoons cause extreme suffering in our public life. Due to incessant rains, the shelters of many poor people are rendered unusable which is really heartbreaking.

The biggest disadvantage of this time is that our roads are muddy and dirty which creates many obstacles in daily movement. Among the disadvantages one is in this season many waterborne diseases are increasing like - cholera, dysentery, and diarrhea.

Also, the number of mosquitoes and other insects increases greatly which causes of deadly diseases like typhoid fever and dengue fever. Many children and adults are affected and also face death for this.

✅ Describe a traditional or special activity that people in your country do during a particular season.

"Pitha Utsav" is a traditional festival that has been prevalent in Bangladesh for many years in winter. In this winter every family prepares to make pitha in the mood of this winter season. Rice flour, jaggery or sugar, coconut, milk, and oil are basic ingrdients for making of many types of pitha. We have been getting these pitha recipes from generation to generation from our mothers. These pithas come in different shapes, flavors, and presentations. Some pithas are made in steam like - Vapa pitha, Chitoi pitha, Mera pitha, Vapa puli, and Choi pitha, etc.

There are also many varieties that are made with milk such as - Dudh Chitai, Patisapta, Dudh Puli, etc. Many pithas are made with oil - pakan pitha / oil pitha, Chita pitha, Banana pitha etc. With sugar or jaggery also make these types of pithas - Mugh Pakan Pitha, Nakshi Pitha, Chiruni Pitha, Chanar Pakan Pitha etc. Bengalis make all these pithas, enjoy them by sharing them with neighbors and relatives which is a tradition of ours. These days pitha festival is also organized in schools, colleges, universities, offices, and various institutions. Also, different areas also come together through this "Pitha Utsav" and strengthen their relationship which proves that Bengalis are sociable and hospitable.

Your favorite season is winter. Winter season is good for health. The temperature is low. My favorite season is spring. Plants are then full of new leaves and flowers. But many people die in our country due to lightning during monsoon. Currently, dengue fever has created a lot of panic during the rainy season. Your writing is very beautiful. Good luck to you.

Aslam o Alikum @zisha-hafiz

First of all, sister, I am very happy to see the way you started your post, you started it with the holy name of Allah. As you said about your favorite seasons, I am really right that it is a great blessing of Allah Almighty and it is a nature, it is natural, we have no control over it, it is the will of Allah Almighty and by the will of Allah Almighty. They come and go and have a specific duration, but yes, sometimes it happens that sometimes it gets hotter and sometimes it gets colder, due to which there are slight changes in the environment, but the way you see them step by step. What is the step explain Very good very good post your very informative.

Wow, this is a very wonderful entry to this wonderful contest, thanks stating down how the six seasons are called in your language, I will take note of that. It seems that the pitha made during winter seasons, are very delicious together with the date drink. The monsoon seasons are so bad and they have a bad drastic impact on the people, because of the damages that comes with it, by the way that season does not last forever, so just endure till the season finishes. I would love to read your again, see you next time
