But how is that possible? Working in factories, garages, workshops from the age of five, helping car drivers, breaking bricks and stones, deprived of parental affection, not going to school, not learning, illiterate, suffering from various diseases. Suffering, living worn-out? Not at all.

How will children become the future of tomorrow? Through these, no child can become the future of the nation. By doing this, no child can fulfill his father's dream, the country's dream. The benefits we take from children in exchange for little pay, in some cases only two meals a day, is not only harmful to them, but also suicidal to us. Many of us talk big about stopping child labor in various meetings and seminars, but do not do it in the workplace. Let us first stop this contradictory act.

We will observe the initiatives taken by the government to stop child labor and stand against those who are disobeying them. We will come together to create opportunities for the child's full development. Many of today's speakers have told you these things here. We have to remember that education is at the root of a country's development and progress. National development is not possible if we do not educate children properly. Because if the children do not develop as good citizens, they will become workers for the country. It is bound to disrupt the country's progress and development. According to the ILO, the number of children engaged in labor in the world is about 246 million. Among them, the number of children under 10 years is 73 million. There are 12.7 million child laborers in the Asia Pacific region alone. 1 in 6 children in the world is engaged in child labour. About 22,000 children die every year due to hazardous child labour, trafficking, terrorism, torture etc.

The situation of children engaged in child labor in Bangladesh is even worse. They have no provision for food, clothing or shelter. Child labor continues to rise across the country. Children are still employed illegally in various factories, homes, business establishments of the country. Although there are strict laws against child labor, child labor cannot be stopped due to the lack of enforcement and implementation of those laws, but it must be stopped.
