SEC-S17W1: "Season of My Country - Spring"

Living in Europe we have all four seasons in one year:
Winter: I always start listing from Winter, because it is a time when everything seems to be sleeping under the blanket of snow. There is no leaves on trees or bushes, it is cold and it seems that summer will not come back. It is not my favourite season, except one event in winter and it is Christmas, just after that I am ready for spring
Spring that is my favourite season. The first sign of spring is that the day are longer have daylight and plants and trees immediately feel it it is like a clock that is set for awakening. The first buds on trees and maybe the first flowers especially it is noticeable on fruit trees and magnolia
Summer is time for holidays and to enjoy warm summer days, we are ready for the Vitamin D that we receive from being outside of under sun. On sunny days we like to have trips and discover nice places while going hiking, swimming and grilling in the evening with family
Autumn it is a season that always makes me a bit melancholic, the days become shorter, less sun and more clouds, wind and rain. The only positive side is that we can collect harvest from the fruit trees and berries. The trees loosing their leaves. It is also a time for cleaning garden to prepare for winter

As to the place where we live now, we have Spring in Scotland and this is my favourite season. I really love it and I wish Spring never ends.
April is usually warm, but this year we have more rainy days and clouds, it is unusual but many still wearing warm jackets and for many it is still like late winter. Despite of that we still noticed that Spring in en marche, because the trees starting to have green leaves and also first flowers, different colours.
For us we do our regular works in garden, trimming the bushes and also we decided to plant some vegetables and berries but in order to protect them from snails and weed we decided to built a raised beds. That was out these days.
We have bought two bags of seeds
Also special pots for the seeds
*We have mixed our garden soil with a compost specially prepared for flowers and plants and mixed them
Everything is now equally filled into two pots and placed on sunny place

Here are the parts for raised beds that my hubby built together.
This is how it looks like when it is built up. We decided to fill the floor with stone plates we had many from lifting some of parts of gardens for planting bushes and flowers.
After that we have filled the boxes with soil we had a lot in back yard so both boxes are filled almost up to the upper edges.
Now it is time for planting!
We have decided that one we use for half potatoes and another half for carrots
Another raised bed we decided to plant strawberry plants and this time 18 young plants. So everything is ready for Spring and we are very excited to know if our work will be rewarded.

Wow great looking at your presentation and post it shows how much you have read these seasons and how untrusted you are as you said you are from Europe and your There are also four seasons in the country. It is a blessing for any country that it is blessed with four seasons but the way you have explained it is admirable that the play of flowers in the spring season. Spring is coming, colorful flowers are blooming and winter is getting colder, summer is getting hotter.

Yes, the whole year is rolling from one season to another, it is really nice nad feels like you live in different countries :)

Thank you for reading, having so many seasons there are specific type of work we do around in garden, actually it keeps us busy all the time and that keeps us fit :)

At first I was a little bit confused. I think the spring you call it is what the Nigeria call it the rainy season right if I am not mistaken.
Maybe, Spring starts with all green leaves on trees and we have flowers everywhere. I do not know how much similar it is in Nigeria
Yes I will say it is similar. I guess the spring over there is what we called the rainy season over here in Nigeria because the spring season tend to share similarities to what is witnessed during the rainy season also

I mean the educational content you just shared. I never knew that there 4 seasons in the Europe, but I just learn it now.
In Nigeria where I come from, we have just two seasons which I have written about.
If I was to choose my favourite season according to what you explain here, I would go for Spring because of it's mildness.
I usually don't like a harsh weather and I love farming. Your raise bed looks awesome for nursery.
It is unusual for me to hear that you have only two seasons, on other hand if there is not much contrast in temperature and you can still enjoy those two seasons then it is fine. I agree it is very good to be able to plant and to collect the fruits of your work :)

Thank you it was a nice sunny day and we managed to do a lot in garden, spring usually month that requires a lot of work and preparation for summer so that later we can enjoy it :)

You presented a beautiful contest .Thank you so much for sharing a post by which I come to know about the seasons of your country.You have presented wonderfully the different seasons of your country with its characteristics.Every season has some own characteristics. One is different from other. Nature changes it look in every season. By reading you post I come to know that there are four seasons in your country. Some like most winter and some like other seasons but I nothing dislike because every seasons is important for us and the hottest season of your country is summer.The temperature is high in this time. Go ahead and best wishes for you.
