How many seasons in your country? Which one is your favorite and why?

I am a Bangladeshi. I was born in this country of endless beauty in South Asia, most of the countries in the world have 2-3 or 4 seasons, but unlike my country, our country has about 6 seasons. The nature of our country is decorated in 6 different ways in 12 months. Because of this, we can enjoy the wonderful beauty of nature.

But among the 6 different seasons, 'The Monsoon Season' is my favorite. In this respect, I am a little different from others. In nature, the rainy season comes after the extreme heat of summer.

During the monsoon, the nature of Bengal looks different, dark clouds in the sky, light breeze, sometimes drizzle, sometimes heavy rain. After the extreme heat of summer, when incessant rain falls on the bosom of nature, doing impossible love, nature regains its life, plants are decorated with new clothes. The green fields of village Bengal are newly decorated, children play different games including football in the rain water and also in the monsoon season, different flowers bloom in our country called It Bengali, such as padda, shapla, kadam, belli etc. That is why monsoon is my favorite season.

If there was one season you wanted to skip forever, which one would it be? Explain the reason

In fact, I never thought like this, I think every important place is occupied to keep the life and nature of Bangladesh in balance, that's why I don't want to skip any season, but when it comes to skipping some disasters of the season, I think of natural disasters like storms, cyclones, tornadoes in summer, want to skip.

In the summer heat, there is a storm in our country after afternoon which is called 'Kalbaisakhi storm' which damages the nature and people of the country, at this time different kinds of fruits such as mango, jackfruit, litchi and other fruits are damaged by the storm, as well as people's houses, Livestock, crops and financial losses are huge, so I would like to skip these disasters of the summer season, even if I don't skip an entire season.

Describe a traditional or special activity that people in your country do during a particular season

One of the biggest traditional festivals in our country is 'Pahela Baishakh'. It is mainly held around the Bengali New Year. In the summer season, on the 1st of the Bengali month 'Baishakh', Bangladesh and Bengalis dress up in new clothes, after the farmers bring new rice home, the 'Nabanna' festival is held this time.

In this festival people celebrate the new year by eating 'Panta-Ilis'. 'Halkhata' is held in various shops in the village.Dhaka Arts Academy organizes various programs around Boishakh such as 'Mangal Sobhayatra' and ushers in the new year with 'Chyanaut'.

Are there any special foods or drinks that people in your country enjoy most during certain seasons? If so, what is it and why?

Of course, the people of our country are foodies. People try to try different traditional dishes in every season, among them in winter they make date jaggery 'pithapuli' like 'vapapitha', 'pulipitha', patisapata'.This delicious pitha festival is celebrated in almost every home in rural Bengal. In winter, this pitha is also used by people to appease relatives. Delicious pithas are prepared in various mediums including rice flour, date molasses.

Besides, date palm juice is very dear to people, many people collect juice from date palm trees and drink it, besides, sellers sell date palm juice to people early in the morning.Winter is a very favorite season for Bengalis for this type of food and drink. This is how i end today’s my participations post.

I would like to invite @shahajahanali, @abdul-rakib,@nabilanusrat for joining this wonderful contest.

Thank you very much for inviting me to such a beautiful contest. I liked your article very much, told about the 6 seasons of our country, and told about your favorite season. This is one of my favorite seasons. But now it cannot be felt as much as before. But the most interesting thing is that the people of our country prepare different types of food in different seasons of our country. Which presents our country in a different form among all countries. Best wishes to you.

You really took time and beautifully describes the 6 seasons of your country, with the Monsoon Season being your favorite due to the rejuvenation it brings to nature. You even express appreciation for all seasons but express a desire to skip natural disasters like storms. Additionally, they highlight traditional festivals and foods enjoyed during different seasons in Bangladesh.
