I would like to start by thanking the Steem for Bangladesh community for selecting such a nice topic.

If I am going to discuss about my favorite age, I have to start with a small story, a story about myself.

When I was 13 years old, I joined a cricket club in Chittagong. After two to three months of admission in that club, under-13 cricket tournament organized by Chittagong District Sports Association was held. And so there were under 13 cricket players being selected. I also participated in that competition then the coach of my club was telling with our assistant coach who will get a chance in this team and my name was nowhere in his selection but by the infinite grace of Allah only one got a chance from those whose name he mentioned and me too. I got a chance in Chittagong under 13 cricket team. In that tournament I did well and got a chance in the divisional team. But did not get a chance in the U13 National Team.

After that some players will be taken to BKSP for training for three months. A selection competition was organized for him and I was one of the last 10 in that competition but I couldn't go to that training camp and the boy who went was not among those ten but he was a very favorite student of our coach because they were very big guys. And that's why he was sent to that training camp instead of me and when I came to know about this I vowed that day that I will get admission in BKSP one day inshallah.

I told this to our assistant coach he was consoling me but I didn't listen to his consolation and asked him sir how can I get admission in BKSP because I didn't know how to get admission in BKSP he told me 10-12 students maximum every year from all over Bangladesh. 20 students admitted. I said ok sir I asked again sir where this BKSP is located I don't know he told me BKSP is located in Dhaka, Savar, Jirani Bazar.

A year later, in May 2004, the BKSP circular was issued. And I joined that camp first it was a one day camp 13 year old boys from all over Bangladesh applied for admission there were lakhs of boys selected some boys in this way last 17 students were admitted in January 2005 and alhamdulillah among them I was one.

Now coming to the main topic, there are many other things that have happened in the middle, which will take a lot of time to discuss, so I will summarize the discussion and discuss about my favorite age.

When I was 19 years old I was playing in under 19 team. My performance was very good then and you were not told what my position was, I was a right-arm off-skin and a right-arm middle-order batsman. At that time, the coach of the Bangladesh team, Messidens himself, came to watch my bowling. Because in Bangladesh I was the first to learn how to die.

At that time, my coach Akhenuzzaman Rusu sir was very optimistic about me. I will play in the Bangladesh national team one day. But I couldn't fulfill his hope because after some time I had an accident the accident was I fell from four floor yes you are listening right I fell from four floor. By God's infinite mercy, I survived but my dreams, my sir's dreams and my family's dreams all died that day. My right arm and right leg were severely injured, which made me unable to throw the ball hard and run hard, and I am still carrying that chest.

Now my close younger brothers are friends and elder brothers play in Bangladesh National Team and I watch their games on TV. Shakib Al Hasan was three batches senior to me and Mominul Haque Sourav, Nasir Hossain were one batch senior to me and Soumya Sarkar, Enamul Haque Vijay were of my batch and Liton Das was three years junior to me and there are many more who are in the national team and outside the national team. there is

This age of 19 was the favorite of my life. At this age I have gained and lost many things that cannot be expressed in words.

I hope you understand how special this age was for me.

If I could ever go back to being that old 19-year-old:
I was watching a Hindi movie a few days ago, I don't remember the name of the movie but let me tell you the story. The movie was about a clock and with the clock people could go back to their previous lives. If I had a chance to go back to my previous life or age, I would not have done the accident at the age of 19 because of the mistake and I would have fulfilled the desired dream of me and my sir and my family which was to wear the jersey of Bangladesh and play for Bangladesh. And would have raised myself to a different peak of recognition to the whole world and brought honor to the country. I still dream that I am playing in our Bangladesh cricket team leading Bangladesh to win the World Cup. I'm not saying this from my imagination, in fact I still dream sometimes. Don't know why?

আমি শুরুতেই স্টিম ফর বাংলাদেশ কমিউনিটিকে ধন্যবাদ জানাতে চাই এত সুন্দর একটি টপিক্স সিলেক্ট করার জন্য।

আমার ফেভারিট বয়স নিয়ে যদি আলোচনা করতে যাই তাহলে প্রথমে ছোট্ট একটি গল্প দিয়ে শুরু করতে হবে, গল্পটা আমার নিজের সম্পর্কে।

আমার বয়স যখন ১৩ বছর তখন আমি চট্টগ্রামের একটি ক্রিকেট ক্লাবে ভর্তি হয়েছিলাম। সেই ক্লাবটিতে ভর্তি হওয়ার দু থেকে তিন মাস পরেই চট্টগ্রাম জেলা ক্রীড়া সংস্থার আয়োজনে অনূর্ধ্ব তের ক্রিকেট টুর্নামেন্ট অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এবং তাই সেখানে অনূর্ধ্ব ১৩ ক্রিকেট খেলোয়াড় বাছাই করা হচ্ছিল। আমিও সেই প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহণ করি তখন আমার ক্লাবের যে কোচ ছিল তিনি আমাদের অ্যাসিস্ট্যান্ট কোচ এর সাথে বলতেছিল কে কে এই টিমে সুযোগ পাবে এবং তার নির্বাচনে কোথাও আমার নাম ছিল না কিন্তু আল্লাহর অশেষ রহমতে যাদের নাম বলেছিল তাদের মধ্য থেকে শুধুমাত্র একজনই সুযোগ পেয়েছিল এবং তার সাথে আমিও সুযোগ পেয়েছিলাম চট্টগ্রাম অনূর্ধ্ব ১৩ ক্রিকেট টিমে। সেই টুর্নামেন্টে আমি ভাল করে বিভাগীয় টিমেও সুযোগ পেয়েছিলাম। কিন্তু অনূর্ধ্ব ১৩ ন্যাশনাল টিমে সুযোগ পায়নি।

তার কিছুদিন পরে তিন মাস ব্যাপী প্রশিক্ষণের জন্য বিকেএসপিতে কয়েকজন খেলোয়াড় কে নেওয়া হবে। তার জন্য সিলেকশন প্রতিযোগিতার আয়োজন করা হয় এবং সেই প্রতিযোগিতায় সর্বশেষ ১০ জনের মধ্যে আমি একজন ছিলাম কিন্তু সেই প্রশিক্ষণ ক্যাম্পে আমি যেতে পারিনি আর যে ছেলেটি গিয়েছিল সে ওই দশজনের মধ্যে ছিল না কিন্তু সে আমাদের কোচের খুব প্রিয় ছাত্র ছিল কারণ তারা অনেক বড়লোক ছিল। আর এই জন্যই তাকে ওই প্রশিক্ষণ ক্যাম্পে পাঠানো হয়েছে আমার পরিবর্তে এবং আমি এই কথাটা জানতে পেরে আমি সেই দিনই প্রতিজ্ঞা করেছিলাম আমি বিকেএসপিতে একদিন ভর্তি হব ইনশাআল্লাহ।

আমি এই কথাটি আমাদের অ্যাসিস্ট্যান্ট কোচ ওনাকে বলি উনি আমাকে সান্ত্বনা দিচ্ছিল কিন্তু আমি তার সান্তনা না শুনে তাকে জিজ্ঞেস করে বসলাম স্যার আমি কিভাবে বিকেএসপিতে ভর্তি হতে পারি কারণ আমি জানতাম না বিকেএসপিতে কিভাবে ভর্তি হতে হয় তিনি আমাকে বললেন সারা বাংলাদেশ থেকে প্রতিবছর ১০-১২ জন সর্বোচ্চ ২০ জন ছাত্র ভর্তি করায়। আমি বললাম ও আচ্ছা স্যার আবার জিজ্ঞাসা করলাম স্যার এই বিকেএসপিটা কোথায় অবস্থিত আমিতো জানিনা তিনি আমাকে বললেন ঢাকা, সাভার, জিরানী বাজার এই জায়গায় অবস্থিত বিকেএসপি।

এর এক বছর পর ২০০৪ সালের মে মাসে বিকেএসপির সার্কুলার দেওয়া হয়। এবং আমি সেই ক্যাম্পের যোগদান করি প্রথমে ছিল এক দিনের ক্যাম্প সারা বাংলাদেশ থেকে ১৩ বছরের ছেলেরা ভর্তির জন্য আবেদন করেছিল সেখানে লাখ লাখ ছেলে ছিল তার মধ্য থেকে কিছু ছেলেকে বাছাই করে নিয়েছে এভাবে করে সর্বশেষ ১৭ জন ছাত্র ২০০৫ এ জানুয়ারি ভর্তি করানো হয় আর আলহামদুলিল্লাহ তার মধ্যে আমি একজন ছিলাম।

এবার মূল বিষয়ে আসি আসলে মাঝখানে আরো অনেক কিছু হয়ে গিয়েছে যা এখন আলোচনা করতে গেলে অনেক সময়ের ব্যাপার তাই আমি আলোচনা সংক্ষিপ্ত করে আমার ফেভারিট বয়সটা নিয়েই আলোচনা করি।

আমার যখন ১৯ বছর তখন আমি অনুর্ধ ১৯ টিমে খেলছি। তখন আমার পারফরমেন্স খুব ভালো ছিল ও আপনাদেরকে তো বলাই হয়নি আমার পজিশন কি ছিল আমি ডান হাতে অফ স্কিন বলার ছিলাম এবং ডানহাতে মিডেল অর্ডার ব্যাটসম্যান ছিলাম। সেই সময় বাংলাদেশ টিমের কোচ যে মেসিডেন্স নিজে আমার বোলিং দেখার জন্য এসেছিল। কারণ বাংলাদেশে সবার প্রথম আমি দুসরা মারা শিখি।

তখন আমার কোচ আখেনুজ্জামান রুসু স্যার আমাকে নিয়ে অনেক আশাবাদী ছিল আমি একদিন বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় দলে খেলব। কিন্তু আমি তার সেই আশা পূরণ করতে পারিনি কারণ তার কিছুদিন পর আমি এক অ্যাক্সিডেন্ট করে ফেলি এক্সিডেন্টটা ছিল চার তলা থেকে পড়ে গিয়েছিলাম নিচে হ্যাঁ আপনি সত্যি শুনছেন আমি চার তলা থেকে পড়ে গিয়েছিলাম। আল্লাহর অশেষ রহমতে আমি তো বেঁচে গিয়েছি কিন্তু আমার স্বপ্ন আমার স্যারের স্বপ্ন আমার ফ্যামিলির স্বপ্ন সব মরে গিয়েছে সেদিন। আমার ডান হাত এবং ডান পা গুরুতরভাবে আহত হয়েছে যার কারণে আমি জোরে বল থ্রো করতে পারিনা এবং জোরে দৌড়াতে পারি না এখনো পর্যন্ত আমি সেই তো বুকে চাপা নিয়ে আছি।

এখন আমার ক্লোজ ছোট ভাইয়েরা ফ্রেন্ডরা এবং বড় ভাইয়েরা বাংলাদেশ ন্যাশনাল টিমে খেলে আর আমি তাদের খেলা টিভিতে দেখি। সাকিব আল হাসান আমার তিন ব্যাচ সিনিয়র ছিলেন তখন এবং মমিনুল হক সৌরভ, নাসির হোসাইন এরা আমার এক ব্যাচ সিনিয়র ছিল এবং সৌম্য সরকার, এনামুল হক বিজয় আমার ব্যাচের ছিল ও লিটন দাস আমার তিন ব্যাস জুনিয়র ছিল আরো অনেক আছে যারা ন্যাশনাল টিমে এবং ন্যাশনাল টিমের বাইরে আছে।

এই ১৯ বছর বয়সটাই আমার জীবনের ফেভারিট ছিল। এই বয়সটাতেই আমি অনেক কিছু পেয়েছি এবং অনেক কিছু হারিয়েছি যা ভাষায় বলে বোঝাতে পারবো না।

আশা করি আপনারা বুঝতে পেরেছেন এই বয়সটা আমার জন্য কতটা বিশেষ ছিল।

আমি যদি কখনো সেই পুরনো ১৯ বছর বয়সে ফিরে যেতে পারি:
আমি কিছুদিন আগে একটি হিন্দি সিনেমা দেখছিলাম সিনেমাটার নামটা সঠিক মনে নেই বাট কাহিনীটাই একটু বলি। সিনেমাটা ছিল একটি ঘড়ি নিয়ে ঘড়িটা দিয়ে মানুষ তার পূর্বের জীবনে ফিরে যেতে পারত। আমিও যদি এমন কোন সুযোগ পেতাম আমার পূর্বের জীবনে বা বয়সে ফিরে যাবার তাহলে আমি যেই ভুলের কারণে ১৯ বছর বয়সে অ্যাক্সিডেন্টটি করেছি সেটি আর করতাম না এবং আমার এবং আমার স্যারের ও আমার ফ্যামিলির সেই কাঙ্খিত স্বপ্নটি পূরণ করতাম যেটা ছিল বাংলাদেশের জার্সি গায়ে দিয়ে বাংলাদেশের হয়ে খেলতাম। এবং সারা বিশ্বের কাছে নিজেকে অন্যভাবে এক পরিচিতির শিখরে নিয়ে যেতাম এবং দেশের জন্য সম্মান বয়ে নিয়ে আসতাম। আমি এখনো স্বপ্ন দেখি যে আমাদের বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট টিমে আমি খেলছি বাংলাদেশকে বিশ্বকাপে জিতিয়ে নিয়ে আসছে। এটা আমার কল্পনা থেকে বলছি না আসলেই আমি মাঝেমধ্যে এখনো স্বপ্ন দেখি। জানিনা এটা কেন?

আমার প্রাণ প্রিয় পাঠক বন্ধুরা আজ আমি এখানে শেষ করছি আসলে আমি আর লিখতে পারছি না। সেই দিনগুলো মনে পড়লে বুকের ভিতরে কেমন জানি করে!
