It's great to see everyone again in Week 6 of SEC Season 17. This time, I tried to participate in a very interesting theme organized by @steem4bangladesh. This contest invites us to share top tourist destinations in our country. Before I begin, I'd like to invite @meriseptriyanti, @fantvwiki, and @nurlizarizky to participate in this contest.

Every country has one or more interesting places. These locations have unique qualities that entice many tourists to visit them. Whether it's due to its beauty or historical significance.
In my home country of Indonesia, there are numerous excellent tourist destinations. However, I'll mention two of the most well-known: Lake Toba and Bali.
1. Lake Toba
Lake Toba is Indonesia’s largest volcanic lake that located in North Sumatra province, Toba Samosir district. Lake Toba is approximately 100 km long and 30 km wide. That looks like to be an unusually large lake.
Why is Lake Toba so popular? There are numerous reasons to answer this question. One of them is that this lake is extremely unique. In the center of this lake is a large island known as Samosir Island. Really a unique lake, isnt'it?
Another reason I think is because the view of this lake is really beautiful. In addition, the culture around this lake is so thick and maintained. The strong civilization of the Batak people provides a different experience for tourists when visiting it. There is a wealth of culture and traditions such as Batak traditional houses, typical woven fabrics and many historical artifacts that allow tourists to increase their historical knowledge.
2. Bali
Who doesn't know Bali? I don't think so. Bali is the most famous tourist destination in Indonesia, even in the world. Without having to explain it at length, I'm sure you all know what Bali is like.

Call it Kuta beach, a beach with a beautiful stretch of white sand. The good waves are perfect for surfing. The location of the beach with the hot sun is also very supportive for sunbathing. Then at dusk, tourists can enjoy the exotic sunset view. It's quite a complete destination to visit, isn't it?
Another reason Bali is so popular, I believe, is that the people are so friendly. Many tourists believe that people in Bali speak politely and smoothly. Bali has a high tolerance level, so everyone who visits will feel comfortable. In addition, the costs of a vacation in Bali are relatively low. Bali's food menu is not only delicious, but also reasonably priced.

The two spots I mentioned above have their own unique charms. Of course, their uniqueness makes foreign tourists visit these locations. Lake Toba offers beauty and historical value that can add knowledge to tourists about the rich culture in Indonesia. Bali provides a beautiful beach experience with people who are so polite and friendly. I think the tourists feel happy after visiting these two spots.

I don't think any additional facilities are required at the two locations mentioned above. Both locations are already highly regarded and well-known throughout the world.
It's just that the government must be able to ensure people's safety and comfort while visiting these locations. Because some incidents are caused by specific individuals and make tourists uncomfortable. For example, consider illegal levies. That is very troubling. And I believe the government must impose strict regulations to prevent this.

Speaking about that, I think Baiturrahman Mosque has the potential to become a popular tourist attraction. The mosque is breathtakingly beautiful, with massive domes in its courtyard. Indeed, it is one of Indonesia's most famous mosques. But I believe this mosque deserves to be better known around the world. Aside from its historical significance, this mosque is the pride of Acehnese with its strict Islamic sharia. It may be of particular interest to foreign tourists seeking to learn about Islam.

You're right that if we're to mention tourist spot in our different countries, it'll be countless but we have popular and the best even with that. You've written about the two popular tourist spot in your country Indonesia, which are Lake Toba and Bali.
I was amazed to know that in the center of the lake, at lake toba, there's a large island known as Samosir Island. Wow, truly this is amazing. With this alone, my heart is beating so fast to visit this place.

Who doesn't knows the expensive bali vacations everyone dream of going and every celebrity visits there . Just like Maldives its very famous and beautiful. I have never heard of lake toba before , thanks for sharing this information with us .
