The national flag of a country is the symbol of that country, existence, independence and sovereignty. How much a nation has to sacrifice to liberate a country to bring freedom to the country through blood loss and fly the national flag as an independent nation .A country's flag has different designs of different colors . And there's also a lot of history for many countries to acquire flags.

When, how did it come, our national flag of Bangladesh and who made it?

But there is a lot of history behind it.

So before saying anything, you need to know something about the history of Bangladesh .

History of Bangladesh

For almost 200 years, the British ruled and exploited us to gain independence from the British, and then we were under India. At the time of partition in 1947, the region of India where there were more Muslims was probably a country called Pakistan. And the other region is divided as another country called India.

What is now Pakistan was then West Pakistan and what is now Bangladesh was East Pakistan. But then our Bangladesh was under East Pakistan.And since this independence, there was conflict with Pakistan and West Pakistan. West Pakistan formed the state in 1948 and Urdu would be their state language.

But the Bengali speaking people of East Pakistan could not accept it, the language movement started from then.In history, the people of East Bengal gave their lives for the language in 1952. 1952, 21st February International Mother Language Day.

The distance between people was greater than the distance between West Pakistan and East Pakistan .Even if it was of the same religion, the distance was language, food, culture, clothing, tradition.

The rulers of West Pakistan continued to persecute the East Pakistanis, then the people of East Pakistan were subjugated, so after the language movement, Awami League emerged as a Bengali nationalist proponent, and since then it became a political party of the Bengali nation.

The tumultuous period of Bangladesh's independence movement was March 1971..Starting from March and earlier this month hoisting the flag of independent Bangladesh and reading the Declaration of Independence . And Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman called for this independence on March 7 at the Race Course Maidan ..

Independence was won on 16th December 1971.

During the Bangladesh War of Independence in 1971, an almost identical flag was used with a yellow map inside a red circle between the green flags . On January 10, 1972, the yellow map was removed from the flag of Bangladesh. That's because it wasn't possible to accurately display the yellow map between the red circles and simplify the flag .

History behind the national flag of Bangladesh

On June 7, 1970, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was supposed to participate in a military parade at Paltan Maidan in Dhaka, the then capital of East Pakistan .

Jai Bangla 15 February Bahini was formed with students.To this end the student leaders decided to make a flag .

On June 6, 1970, Chhatra League leader A.S.M. Abdur Rob, Shahjahan Siraj, Ahmed Kazi Arif Ahmed, Marshall Monirul Islam and some others sat together in room 116 of Zahurul Haque Hall of Dhaka University with a flag making meeting .In this meeting, based on Kazi Aref's initial proposal, after everyone's discussion, he decided to make a map flag of Bengali with a yellow circle in the red sun of red and green on green.

Then Kamrul Alam Khosru brought a red circle sewn between a piece of green cloth from a Bihari tailor shop in Dhaka New Market .

After that Yusuf Salauddin Ahmed and Hasanul Haque took the map book from Enamul Haque and drew the map picture on a tracing paper in the present Titumir Hall of Dhaka University. Then Shivnarayan Das drew a map in the middle of the red circle .

Student leader A.S.M. Abdur Rab hoisted the first national flag on 2 March 1971 at Battala, University of Dhaka .
The flag with the map of this flag of Bangladesh was then used to prevent the use of the flag of West Pakistan, moon star sign .

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman then hoisted this flag at his residence on the eve of the declaration of independence on March 23 .

Later in 1972, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's government decided to remove the flag map from the flag of Shiv Narayan Das and asked Kamrul Hasan to prepare a report on the size of the flag and its interpretation .

The group, then refined by Kamrul Hasan, now has the red and green form of the national flag of Bangladesh.

This red and green form of the national flag of Bangladesh was officially adopted on January 17, 1972 .

A nation's identity, freedom, success, economic, development,Values, its existence is represented by displaying the national flag in the international arena. And only by displaying that flag can we know about the dignity of that country's flag.

A flag symbolizes the existence of a nation. Bengalis made a historic event in front of the whole world to protect their country from subjugation. Raised their rights and existence to the world by hoisting the flag .

The reward of the struggle of Bengalis for a thousand years is this red and green flag .. Our emotions and feelings are entangled in this flag.

• The National Flag Rules 1972 state that no one can use the flag at will, no matter how to use it so that it is not destroyed. Using the flag in any political campaign is a crime.

This flag is not just a piece of cloth, it is a symbol of freedom and sovereignty .

Insulting the national flag due to the negligence of any human being can never be accepted. We have to respect this flag of freedom not only in our country but in the whole world by shedding blood from their chests.

We must remember that it is my moral duty and everyone's moral duty to show enough respect to this red and green flag .

Nature of my country, history, success of my country I can proudly display my country's flag on any stage of the world with any flag of the world.

By flying the national flag at an international gathering or a diplomatic mission or an international game or an event, the presence of Bengali castes worldwide and their participation highlight their existence and sovereignty .

The identity of the national flag to the world as well as increasing the respect and international recognition of that flag.

Expatriates of my country living abroad express their love by flying this red and green flag.When the heroes of my country participate on any stage of the world, first of all I will hoist the flag of my country as a symbol . So whenever I see my country's flag at an event or somewhere in the world I feel very proud .
