How are you all my friends? I hope all of you are well by the grace of Almighty Allah. Alhamdulillah I am also well by God's grace and your love. I couldn't share my next part due to busy schedule. However, today I have come to the final stage of the biological ETP plant and this stage we call by many names like Sedimentation or Tube Settler or Clarification tank. Here I am sharing the previous part Part-8 where I share some important information about The importance of sludge return pump in the biological ETP plant. Today I will discuss The importance of Tube Settler Tank in Biological ETP Plant. Besides I also discuss many more things. So friends let's start.

The last step in our biological ETP plant is the tube settler tank. But many activities are done here which you all can see through the diagram. Here we have the three tube settler tanks where the first one is the big tank and the other two are the smaller ones. These two tanks have been made smaller mainly due to lack of space. But I have already said that the depth of these tanks is about 23 to 24 feet.

It is the last step where the water in the aeration tank reaches this level. And here the water stays for about 2 hours so that the heavy particles floating in the water can settle at the bottom of the tank. That's why we call it tube settler tank. But the retention time of small tanks is like 1 hour. Generally retention time of 3 to 4 hours is good but this requires larger tanks also. Then the water can be discharged very cleanly.

Each tank is equipped with a clarifier machine whose main function is to consolidate the sludge accumulated at the bottom of the tank. That is, fans are set with this clarifier machine under the tank, when the clarifier machine rotates, the sludge comes to the center of the clarifier with the help of the fan. And from there with the help of sludge return pump it is brought back to the aeration tank and sometimes sent for sludge dewatering.

And D-color is used to remove color from water and completely settle heavy particles. However, even if it is not used, the water is fully purified and discharged. In case of use of D-Color we have a D-Color Dosing Tank where we check the time maintain and dosing levels using D-Color. Before we use the decaler, we do a jar test in the lab room to determine how much decaler we can use per hour that will completely clean the water.

After application of D-color in water, it gradually mixes with the water to settle the heavy particles in the water and the clear water is slowly discharged through the v-nozzle set in the tank, from here it goes to the river through the drain. This water is perfectly suitable for the environment. It does not pose a threat to any living organisms in the environment.In this way water is purified from the plant in 24 hours. And to purify it by bacteria we call it biological ETP plant. It is being used as a modern treatment plant in Bangladesh.
