The joy of Eid begins with the sighting of the Eid moon. Eid is a day of great joy in our religion where the joy of Eid is shared with everyone. Fitra and Zakat are taxes on our wealth through fulfilling the rights of the poor and the tradition of giving to the less fortunate through Fitrana adds a wonderful layer of compassion and inclusiveness to the festival, reflecting the true spirit of Islam. Paying children on the day of Eid is a part of Eid. Good luck to you.
