The prove of being alive
It was the era of battle in my country. Soldier of the Army valiantly secured the borders of the country to guarantee its citizen a serene rest each night.
Among them, stood one more soldier. The stuff in his grasp was still crisp, shouting the information on his new marriage. He left for war simply seven days after he took his vows with his first love.
Each and every day, he would travel miles from the boundary to the lone ATM nearby. The safety officer there would see that the soldier pulled out precisely the amount of 100 naira each and every day. He would pull out no more, no less.
This continued for quite a long time, and the gatekeeper became incredibly inquisitive. At some point, he was unable to contain himself any more lastly asked the soldier.
"Sir, for what reason do you pull out only 100 naira consistently?"
he addressed amenably.
The soldier smile a little bit and said,
"There is no means of communication here. I can't get back to home. Consistently I pull out cash from my wife account and she will immediately gets a message on her phone. That message is a statement of me being alive."
