Congrats to the winners and here's my entry for today:

Whether we like it or not, the world has changed already. We must defend ourselves against unseen adversaries. We must be disciplined if we want to win this battle.

It may not be pleasant, but we must get accustomed to it. Wearing a mask and face shield may save us from contracting the virus, but it is not a guarantee, especially when there are a lot of asymptomatic roaming around without them even knowing that they are already covid19 positive. And I think this is the hard part of it.

Although some people survive, we cannot deny the fact that people are dying as a result of this infection. And the only way we can get away from that, in my opinion, is if we have God's protection.

We need to pray and we must pray even more.

Congratulations dahil Ikaw ang isa sa "BEST COMMENT OF THE DAY" (05-30-2021). Salamat sa pagsali.

Topic of the Day...

thank you!
here's my entry for today:

Facemask is a must!
Wearing a mask on is a requirement when going out to public places nowadays. It is now a part of the law that if one is not wearing it, he or she can be arrested. It is now a crime not to wear a mask, and some areas or establishment even go as far as face shields too.
Because of that, some people wear for compliance instead of worrying about contamination. Once they see that there are no more policemen watching over them, they keep the mask under the chin.
How sad of a mentality!

wearing a face mask is a must... This should be done wherever or when ever your going outside your house.. Make it a habbit!!! This is nor just for ourselves but for the whole..

Entry comment contest;
For me, In my own point of view. My description regarding with the picture above is simple, people wearing their facemask to become protected with each other againts the deadly virus. It very basic and simple instruction to be follow, wear a facemask and faceshield. Second, the picture shows that people Don't do any eye-to-eye contact to each other. It addeds, and it shows that people obliged to wear faceshields specially when we are in the crowded area.

Protect ourselves againts the virus, save ourselves. This do's brings a lot of help in order for us to become safe. But wearing facemasks is not 100% guarantee can save us from deadly Disease but it can help us not to enhale and exposed directly to the asymptomatic person. especially when many people surrounds you. We cannot assure that they are not carrier, that is why we must maintain social distancing, follow the safety protocols and of course, Pray for the Protection.

A thorough analysis of the picture implies a deeper meaning. One can make a lot of assumptions based on the current situation; however a closer lens allow us to see what is the real scenario that we/us have experienced in this time of covid-19 pandemic. Allow me to share my analysis:
  1. Indeed face mask is must. However, we cannot simply deny that there people whom we thought as models in implementing such health protocol violated such rule. In line with this, even the concept of social distancing/physical distancing have also cause a lot of issues since people in the upper echelon have also made violations without any sanctions. In this situation clearly the problem is far worst than the pandemic, the problem is brought about by human values. Regardless of who we are, we are obliged to follow any law/rule implemented by the state.
  2. Another major problem also arises, because of what we called selective implementation of such policy "face mask is must" and social/physical distancing there a people whose rights are violated. I am referring to our women, certain issues have been brought in all social medias that women have been abuse because of such policy. The problem can be rooted on the concept of gender inequality since women are looked as inferior to men, they have experienced maltreatment and abuses. Worst case scenario those people who we trusted as protectors made acts that worsened the problem for example sex in exchange for pass. There were repeated reports about the problem, regardless if it is true or not, the probability of women being abused cannot be denied. This is crucial, I am not condemning nor pointing my fingers about but the problem. My point is that we need to act on the issue of the long and dragging problem of gender inequality that wrecked havoc to the lives of our women.
  3. May we take this opportunity to shed light that we should act as one in solving the covid-19 pandemic through discipline and emphasize on protecting the rights of all human beings.

Note: This is not intended to offend any individual/personality/authority but to promote awareness that we should heal, act and protect as one. Tayo Filipino, Magkaisa Tayo!

Sex in exchange for pass?

Congratulations dahil Ikaw ang isa sa "BEST COMMENT OF THE DAY" (05-30-2021). Salamat sa pagsali.

Super thanks 😊!

The photo above represents the new normal. Face mask is a must. specially when you are in public places. We need to abide my this protocols whether we like it or not. It is for everybody's safety.

But very obvious in the picture that the people forgot the other important protocol which is social distancing. Another very important thing to do to avoid the spread of the virus .

In times like this, the discipline and cooperation of the general public is necessary to stop this problem the world is facing for more that a year now.

We are to avoid going out often when it is not necessary. We people need to do our part in stopping the pandemic.

(Photo: My personalized face masks)

Good evening everyone!

It has been more than a year when this invincible, invisible Covid-19 broke out which had shaken everyone globally. I, for one, couldn't imagine what would be the outcome next. I feared for my kids who were far away from me. They're scattered in three different places. Antonia's mom was in Cebu during that time, my youngest son in Dumaguete and my 3rd child (now acting as the eldest) in Bacolod City. Only me and Antonia were left at home, whose ages, 64 and 11 were not allowed to go out! Worst of all, we were not prepared for this uncalled for situation. It's good that we had this family group chat where we can communicate and updating with each other's development!

As you all know, masks ran out of stocks even if we have money to buy! There was a nationwide announcement that the wearing of mask is one of the protocols that should be imposed along with the face shields, alcohol/sanitizer every time we go out. I was very thankful that my eldest grandson was there to secure my "gate pass". He did the grocery for me.

Then something sparked in my creative mind: Yes, why not? I started sewing washable masks @50 php each and some were 3 for 100 php. Then I posted a notice in our terrace "Masks for Sale @ 3 for P100.00". I had several orders which I've posted in our Local Community FB page. I gave some to my close friends as well. That saved my day.

To date, it is still a MUST for us to wear masks for our own safety. God bless us all!
