"Steemit Philippines Photography Contest Week #3|Filipino Culture: Festival @rfprincess

Long live Steemit Philippines, Good day to my fellow steemians and to those who have become my friends here on the steemit platform.
I am happy to participate in this wonderful contest. Especially and it’s about our culture. We have many established cultures. One of my favorite cultures is the celebration of festivals or Fiesta.

this is a throwback picture.

We Filipinos are very devout even though so many sects in our country still dominate the celebration of the festival.
Fiesta is an occasion that the particular town or barangay celebrates in commemoration of the feast of their patron saint.
The festival is a celebration where the locals are busy cooking a variety of traditional dishes and will not miss the pork Lechon. The happiest about the festival is that all the relatives who are far away come home to enjoy and be with their loved ones, most of those who are far away only go home during the festival.
There are many fun events during festivals such as games, dancing and singing competitions and sometimes competitions with gays and beautiful young ladies.
Filipinos can see the appreciation of the festival because with or without money is making way just to celebrate the festival, to show gratitude and devotion to the patron saint, and to be more blessed in the days to come.
